Down in New Jersey tonight, Bree gets ready in her dressing room for a small show with Marie, Pietro, and her hairstylist, Leah. Marie and Bree may talk to each other nearly everyday, but that doesn't mean they hadn't been ecstatic to see each other in person. They were jumping and hugging tight with smiles brighter than the spotlights of the stage.

Pietro sits silent on the couch behind the women, staring at his phone while the group rambles on as if this is the first time they're meeting.

"You did vocal rest today, correct?" Marie nods.

"She didn't talk to me for five hours." Pietro complains into his phone and Bree nods with a small laugh.

"Whoa." Leah says with wide eyes and raised brows.

"Yeah. No headaches." He smirks.

"Shut up." Bree chuckles and he smiles. "He's not wrong, though, I was giving him the silent treatment hard."

"Well, good, 'cause we can't have voice cracks on stage, you'll panic." She states surely and she nods in agreement. "You'll do great up there, though, and we can celebrate after."

"Okay."

"Hopefully, in that dress." Pietro mumbles after seeing it when her hair was a mess and they all smile as Bree giggles shyly.

"Okay."

Bree skips up onto stage as Grave begins to play around her, leaving Pietro to smile behind the curtain.

"You kiss my scars, down the center of my left wrist, never knew how much I needed it. I see stars, the good kind, not the kind that I saw when I was three feet under. The reaper got my number."

-

"...mhm-mhm. Just so you know, I'm sorry. I'll send you love bombs after the war, even though I know they don't work anymore. I'll wave a white flag after the storm. I promise I've calmed down, I'm not manic like before. So you lift the rug and I'll sweep the glass and we can pretend like this never happened. Love bombs after the war, even though I know they don't work anymore..."

Though the crowd can't see it and no one can hear it, Bree's eyes grow a little teary as she goes on with Lovebomb. She just can't help continuing to feel sorry for what she's done. But when she looks at Pietro off to the side and sees his grin as he gives her an assuring thumbs up, she turns forward with a smile, knowing that he'll love her no matter how much she hates herself.

-

"I've taken more than my share of pain. Can't you hear me you say your name? Can't you see I've got these angel wings sewed on to my back with black ribbon? I know you know it hurts my skin. I was just trying to get into heaven, I've been dying to fit in. Dear God..."

-

At the end of the second to last song, Bree waits for a crowd to hush enough for most to hear as she starts speaking.

"This is the first time I've done a show since my episode and I just have to say that I couldn't thank you all enough..." She starts and the cheering sounds again. "For being here with me tonight! I needed this so much more than I could've ever known." She breathes a smile with her hands on her chest while Pietro smiles at her. "Being up here, in front of all these wonderful people is like a dream come true and I couldn't ask for a better night! But, unfortunately, this night is soon to come to an end, so we have one last song for you."

This song is her newest special one, one that no one, not even Pietro has heard. He was there for every rehearsel and heard her hum the same melody, over and over again, but he never heard the true song. She always kicked him out and far away when the band was practicing this one, just so his enhanced ears couldn't pick up a word being sung in the surprise waiting for him.

"So it's me and you against the world and we won't make it out alive, 'cause everybody wants to sink their teeth and stop our breathing. I, I know we like to hurt each other, just to see if we can cry, but I will never fucking leave you, cross my heart and hope to die. They say there's no chance in hell that this is gonna last. But I'll still love you even after we decay. When our bodies start to wither and there's bugs inside our brains. And I'll still want you when we'rе six feet in the ground. When our bones arе cold and rotten, promise I'll still be around. They're telling us our future is a dead end, but fuck it, I'll be your corpse bride, they're not invited to the wedding. And cheers to all the tears that you'll be shedding. A funeral's the only party, they won't use our names to get in. They say there's no chance in hell that this is gonna last. But I'll still love you even after we decay. When our bodies start to wither and there's bugs inside our brains. And I'll still want you when we're six feet in the ground. When our bones are cold and rotten, promise I'll still be around. Promise I'll still be around. Even after we decay. Promise I'll still be around. Even after we decay. Even after, even after we decay. Even after, even after we decay."
