From around the corner to the bedroom, Bree stands nervously in the doorway, hesitantly chewing on her bottom lip with a smile. She looks down at her hands for a moment before jumping a bit in excited fear, while holding back a laugh before she just calmly hurries to plop on the couch next to Pietro with her legs folded up beside her.

"I don't like this anymore." She scrunches up her nose while putting her hand out to show the promise ring and his brows furrow.

"Why?" He takes her hand.

"I don't want it." She shrugs. "I want a better one."

"Okay?" He nods confusedly. "What's wrong with it?"

"I want a real one." She smiles a bit and he looks up at her through his lashes. "Will you get me a real one?" She gives her best babydoll eyes with a soft voice and he slowly smiles.

"Get out of here!" He shoves her hand away with a laugh, making her laugh too. "Oh, my God!" He covers his face with a groan. "You scared the shit out of me!"

"I'm sorry!" She laughs hard with her hands over her mouth as he turns to her with a red face.

"That was so mean." He gently thumps her knee with his knuckle.

"I would never mean that in a million years, I love this thing." She places her hand on his chest with a bright smile.

"Did you mean some of it?" He takes her hand to look back down at the ring.

"Only the important things." She nods while scooching closer and he shakes his head with a tight-lipped grin.

"I hate you so much right now." He chuckles a horrible lie and she laughs again while laying her arm over his shoulders.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't want to scare you, I just wanted to mess with you." She pulls him into a hug with his head on her chest while rubbing his shoulder. "This ring is the best thing you've ever given me, I will cherish it FOREVER."

"You better." He mumbles while grazing his hand over her arm, making her smile before she presses a kiss to his head. "By the way,"

"Hmm?"

"you look very pretty today."

"Aw, thank you." She chuckles while a pout, making him smile.

"I was going to say that anyway before you decided to insult me." He smacks her behind, making her laugh as she backs away from him a bit and he looks up at her.

"You mean everything to me." She places her hand on his cheek. "I will never, ever do anything like that again." She shakes her head.

"Good." He moves his arm between her and the couch.

"Yeah?" She nods with a teasing smirk.

He chuckles while turning away before swinging her around to pull her down into his lap and to lay on her back with him leaning on an elbow beside her, gaining a surprised shout in return and loud and adorable laughs.

"That was payback for scaring me." He holds her hip.

She covers her smiling laughs and he pushes her hair behind her ear as she cups his cheek with heavy breaths.

"I love you." She chuckles as he pushes his arm under her head.

"I love you too." He leans down to her lips while pulling her body closer by her thigh before he backs up a bit to stare lovingly into her eyes. "You really mean it? About wanting a real one?"

"I do." She nods and he chuckles.

"No, no, you save that." He shakes his head, making her smile. "You can't say that yet." He rubs up and down her thigh and hip. "You know? I told everybody that there wasn't any engagement planned for the near future." He nods with raised brows.

"You said, there wasn't one that you knew about." She corrects while playing with his hair. "Well, hopefully, now you know."

"I do."

After weeks of fixing and maintaining a diet from the doctors orders and trying her best to hold onto a healthy weight, Bree has just finished yet another doctors appointment to check her statis and has just reached the living room. Pietro looks up from the armchair and his brows furrow as she moves over with a bright smile and her hands together in front of her.

"What're you smiling like that for? What's they say?"

"They said, there's hope." She stops in front of him and he takes a hold of her hips. "She said that it's clear that I've made changes and that it's all for the better, but it's still not recommended that we try for one any time soon." She nods gently. "Which is obviously going to happen, but still." She nods sideways with a slightly faster voice.

"So...we're in the clear?" He shakes his head.

"No, no, not yet." She states with furrowed brows. "She said that nobody should get their hopes up, because it could be a real danger to me and the baby..."

"So we're not doing that." He states surely and she smiles a bit.

"No, but one day, I might be able to do it." She squeezes her fingers with wrinkled brows and he slowly smiles a bit.

"That's good." He nods softly while wrapping an arm around her neck and she breathes a smile. "That's so good." He pulls her to straddle his waist and she hugs him with her head on his chest. "I am so proud of you, right now."

"Me too."
