"A year." Bree leans down in a whisper tone beside Pietro's ear, while he sits on the couch, making him slowly smile. "We've been together for a year."

"Feels like a lot longer." He reaches up to place his hand on her cheek.

She stands up straight and holds his hand as she moves around the couch.

"I'm not one for a fancy celebration, if you're not." He shakes his head with his hands up as she sits on his leg.

"You sound like you're begging." She chuckles while laying her arm over his shoulders and he smiles. "Nothing fancy." She concludes while folding her legs up on his lap and he pulls her closer while the thigh and hip.

"Sweats and TV?" He nods and she nods back with a slight giggle.

"And takeout?" She asks and he squints his eyes with a slowly growing smirk. "Yeah, we're getting takeout." She nods deeply and he chuckles. "Yeah, we're getting takeout."

She slides to the floor between his legs and pulls her phone out of her pocket while he smiles down at her. She lays her head on his knee and wraps her arm around his leg while scrolling through options on the screen as he plays with the ends of her hair.

Bree did not just wake up, neither did, no. It's already the evening, this is just the moment that it's truly hit her that she and Pietro have actually been together for a year, forgetting about those weeks they weren't. They haven't seen those as moments that don't count since it happened and it's made it a lot better for both of them. Pushing that aside and moving on with each other was the best thing for them.

When the orders have been made and the food is almost ready, Pietro takes off and Bree heads to the kitchen. He's back minutes later as she's placing out plates for them at the stools and they take their usual seats beside each other.

As Bree begins to eat, she takes a deep breath, drawing his attention to her for a moment of hesitation.

"You alright?" He worriedly looks her over.

"Mhmm, yeah, just breathing." She nods honestly in a sweet high-pitch and he nods back a bit.

"Okay." He turns back to his food and she furrows her brows for a second before moving on.

As they go on to eat their dinner, he continously looks down at her before his eyes get stuck on her like glue. She adjusts in her seat while taking a slow and small bite before she lifts her head with a deep breath. She turns to up at him and confusedly tilts her head a bit as her brows furrow again.

"Hey, are you okay?" She places her hand on his leg with a soft voice.

"Yeah." He nods and takes her hand. "Just admiring you...I'm proud of you."

"For what?" She shakes her head.

"Everything." He shrugs. "You've made it so far and I don't want you to stop."

"I don't want to either." Her brows wrinkle and he hangs his head with a nod and grin, tears pooled in his eyes.

"Good." He looks back at her and she sits up. "That's so good." His bottom lip quivers.

"Oh, Honey." She stands up on the bar of the stool and throws her arms around his neck.

He buries himself in her arm before turning to pull her up around his torso as he stands from the chair. He cries in her chest, so thankful for how much she's allowed herself to grow in such a short amount of time and she's doing it all for him.

"It's okay." She coos while running her fingers through his hair and petting the back of his head. "We're okay, I'm not going anywhere."

"I know." He closes his eyes with a sigh. "I know, you're not, it's just scary."

"I know, and I'm so sorry for that, but, I swear, I won't leave you." She shakes her head.

"You made a promise." He reminds and she nods.

"And I plan to keep it." She lays her forehead to the top of his head.

"Good."
