Jacks stomach churned as the sleigh flew through the portal. He had gone through the dimension doors enough that the feeling which used to leave his head spinning now simply tickles the inside of his gut slightly. The seas below roared, waves crashing against one another, battling each other for dominance as water poured down in heavy coats from the sky. He just barely missed the crack of electricity sent from the sleigh into the air, disguised by the angry storm which continued harrowingly around him.
Jack braced himself from the whipping winds and onslaught of rain with his forearm, holding it out infront of him. He squinted, searching infront of the sligh and making out the figure of a girl farther away. She was lazily across a dark storm cloud, laying on her back, her knees bent and the lower portion of her legs dangling off.
"Ugh, finally!" The figure, who Jack assumed was Lily said, a South African accent entwined with her words. She sat up and looked towards the sleigh, the cloud below her moving slightly closer in turn.
As she approached, the shadow cast on her face fell behind, her features becoming less and less blurry the closer she got.
Her face was an exact copy of what had been displayed on the floor of the workshop. The same pale skin, auburn curls, and thick lashes. Jack could also clearly see the dense freckles which coated her skin, each matching in exact placement to those of the image. Instead of a smirk however, Lilly wore a flat and very annoyed expression, at what though, Jack was unsure.
Her borader shoulders were covered by an open leather jacket. Underneath she wore only a black bralette, leaving her defined waist exposed. A gold chain belt sat somewhat loosely on her hips, the excess chain trailing down her thighs, over her basic black circle skirt, and falling just above her knees. He legs were bare and she wore black combat boots on her feet.
"And the gaurdians are here." She groaned, letting out a slightly annoyed huff before continuing.
"Not that I didn't expect it, that's what you always do isn't it" Lilly turned her gaze up to the moon which was visible through a break in the clouds. "Whenever there's a problem, you throw your gaurdians at it" Lilly made a throwing gesture with her left hand. "Works every time." The girl let out a half hearted sigh.
"This time I almost feel bad. You really have that much lack of faith in the girl, Skylar, was it?" Lilly kept her gaze on the moon for a split second after she finished addressing Manny before shaking her head and looking back at the gaurdians.
"Guardians, you do know this isn't your fight right? Hell the girl I want isn't even here!" Jack, followed by the rest of the spirits, turned towards her seat, only to find it empty. As concern began to lace its way through his mind Jack remembered what Skylar had said at the beginning of the sleigh ride.
"I swear, the second I see a storm cloud I'm going up,"
Jack let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding in, causing all of the gaurdians to look at him questionably. He subtly gestured to the clouds above with his head in response.
With that matter settled they all turned back to look at the lightning spirit, which now sat only a few yards infront of them.
"I'm not here to fight you," Lilly inspected her nails in a bored and impatient manner. "I mean, I have no problem incapacitating you, but I thought I would give you the heads up,"
North started to chuckle "Incapacitate," North paused briefly to laugh more "That ees good joke,"
"Mate I'd check your math again, it's five against one," Bunny reaffirmed the large man's statement, however his paw reached to hover over his sheathed boomerang, ready to swiftly whip it out at the first sign of aggression from the girl.
"I'm well aware of the numbers Bunnymund, I just wanted to offer a peaceful solution"
It was Jacks turn to laugh "you call this peaceful" he gestured to the raging storm around them. Purposely creating destructive storms wouldn't exactly fall under the category of peaceful in his book.
"So is that a no or..." Lilly trailed off, still seemingly bored with the interaction, waiting impatiently for something to happen."cause I have a very tight schedule so the sooner we get this over with the better"
The girl looked around to the silent gaurdians, all of them ready to attack with a slight glint of anger in their eyes.
"Suit yourself," In no more than a second after the words were spoken a thick and powerful lightning bolt struck down from the sky and onto the sleigh, hitting directly where Skylar had sat minutes before, and charring the wood under Jack's arm.
The bright light startled the reindeer which began rapidly prancing through the air in complete panic. The sleigh got tugged this way and that as the large animals tried to escape the powerful bolts raining down from the sky, surrounding them.
The strikes continued to rapidly rain hell. All of the gaurdians, with the exception of Sandy, had shielded their eyes to protect their sight, their ears ringing from the frequent booms of thunder.
Senses deprived, and clutching on to the sleigh for dear life, The Winter Spirit and the rest of the Gaurdians understood they had severely underestimated the auburn haired girl floating on a cloud infront of them.
And that was when the sleigh started to plummet.
