10~Lilly

All eyes snapped to tooth as her usually cheery voice turned dark, becoming laced with worry.

"You know thees girl?" Norths eyebrows knitted together in confusion at the sudden change of tone from his bubbly and excited friend. He had known tooth for many year and this was very out of the ordinary for her.

Tooth's flying, which had become noticeably more pace like, stopped abruptly as she looked up from the gorund and gazed into empty space straigth ahead. She looked at nothing and for nothing in particular but rather stared straight ahead for the sake of staring."Lilly Mellten"

Part of tooth's mind spiraled into flashes of memories, a slideshow at 50 miles an hour flicked through her head. The other half of her head attempted to ground her. Holding onto the spot tooth was staring at and trying to pull the rest of her out of the mental quicksand pit.

"Am I supposed to know who that is or....." Jack said, his usual smirk painting his face. All of the spirits smiled nervously at his joking attitude before looking anxiously looking back at Tooth, whom continued to stare blankly into space, hundreds of things evidently on her mind.

North walked over to where tooth was fluttering and looked up at her. "Tooth? who ees she?" Concern laced both is voice and expression as he semi patiently waited for an answer.

Tooth showed no signs of snapping out of her daze as she looked down and lowered herself down closer to the wooden floor. When she was in hovering position, less than a foot off the gound, she started making he way over towards the globe in the middle of the room.

Tooth took a deep breath in, attempting to calm all of her nerves as she traced her fingers along the railing that encircled the large metal sphere. Her gaze flicked up to the moon and then back down to her confused companions. When her voice finally sounded it was soft, only slightly above a whisper and delicate in the air. "Lily was the storm spirit before Skylar"

A wave of shock crashed down upon the five spirits, falling strongest upon Skylar herself. Her jaw fell open slightly but no words came out.

"Wh-what do you mean by that?" The winter spirit questioned as his face dropped momentarily. It was quickly picked back up again but this time his signature smile didn't quite reach his eyes.

Tooth stopped flying altogether, her feet landing softly on the floor. She turned to look back at the globe, taking in a deep breath, and mentally preparing to tell and relive a story.

"Long ago, just after the dark ages hit their peak, Manny selected an abundance of spirits to help fight off the fear in more ways and take part of the workload off of the existing spirits."

As she spoke, North slowly walked up next to her in a comforting matter. He was soon followed by Sandy, Jack, and Bunny, all listening intently to the guardian's story. Skylar however, only took a few apprehensive steps forward in order to get a better view and hear Tooth's quiet voice. She still felt out of place among the beings of legend but the topic of conversation had definitely peaked her curiosity.

"Among the many minor spirits chosen to represent the good in the world was Lilly. She was the storm spirit, and in full glory. Throwing lightning bolts and riding the strong winds, she was among the wildest people I knew. She spent every spare moment that wasn't taken up by her duties chatting away with Manny you know, and he talked back. They would talk on end about anything and everything. Many said he even thought of her as a daughter of sorts, after all, it was clear she was his favorite. She was such a sweet girl back then." Tooth paused, a sad smile crawling across her face as she reminisced.

"But...." Jack continued for her, giving tooth a smile of support when she turned her head to look up at him.

"But, it got to her head. The absolute power she held, the way her storms could force people to seek shelter, hide away, it twisted her mind. Slowly she started to take advantage of it, forcing entire countries inside of their homes and scarring any person who stayed outside. All of us begged her to stop, including Manny, but she wouldn't listen, instead she hid away. She cut off all contact to the outside world and many started wondering if she ever existed at all.

"A few centuries ago, Lilly purposefully killed a child for the first and last time. Manny banished Lilly that day, and gave the child a second chance at life." Tooth turned her head towards Skylar with a half hearted smile. Her gaze was quickly followed by the others.

Skylar stared back at the group, her heart pounding inside her chest, the noise rang inside her ears.

"I think she blames you Skylar. And if she's back, you're not safe."
