Skylars body plummeted through the air and down toward the cold angry water below. Her eyelids were far to heavy to open and her limbs were to numb to move. She didn't have enough energy to zip onto and of the clouds above her , and so she just fell, only slightly awake or aware of her surroundings.

The ground came quicker than she thought it would, being so high up and all, and it cradled her in a way very much unlike a raging ocean would. The last workings of her consciousness slipped away from her grasp as she slumped farther down into the strangely comforting chilly sea.

Jack landed on the ice raft he had created gracefully, feet not making a sound as he landed, the limp body of an unconscious storm spirit clutched in his arms. He made his way over to the rest of the guardians who were caring for Tooth and Sandy. They were both in similar conditions, only semi-conscious from their respective strikes, soaking, and ice cold.

North had taken off his large coat and draped it across Tooth's shivering form while Sandy had already formed his own coat out of bright gold sand. Bunny was still damp but awake, having shaken the water out of his fur. As Jack approached silently, Skylar carried in his arms, all of the gaurdians turned to look at him, sighing with relief at seeing the winter spirit safe.

North stood up from his place next to Tooth to meet Jack halfway. "She ees....?"

"Unconscious." Jack finished for the man. "Got struck twice." He watched as North put his hand an inch away from her open mouth, hovering to feel her warm breath for confirmation.

The two looked over towards the other gaurdians, all worse for wear, looking saddened and just a little hopeless.

"I can take 'er, you check on others" North spoke in a firm yet slightly somber voice, putting out his arms for Skylar to be transferred.

Jack carefully slid Skylar into North's arms, grabbing her wrist to check her pulse once more, just to be completely sure. He walked back over towards the other guardians, new layers of frost spreading from where his feet touched the raft, reinforcing it. North followed just slightly behind him.

The first sense that came back was hearing. Faint, distant voices, along with quiet bells and the buzzing of a heater filled her ears with the tune of consciousness. Next was her sense of touch, a soft cushion of some sort was underneath her, cradling her body comfortably. Her sight followed; her eyes were closed, still to heavy to open, but she could see warm light shining through her lids.

Taste and smell came back at the same time, and besides the strong taste of plaque in her mouth, indicating she should eat or drink something soon, there was nothing out of the ordinary for either of those. Unless you count the sweet smell of cinnamon and eggnog that filled her nose as she took a breath in.

If she don't know any better, she would almost say it smelt like-

North's workshop.

Skylar opened her eyes suddenly, being met with an unknown wooden roof, and cozy holiday air. It was only when she confirmed where she though she was that she remembered how she got there, flashes of the fight surging through her mind.

Well, there goes a three decade streak of not getting struck.

Skylar stayed laying for a second, contemplating the situation and listing what she knew and trying to form some kind of plan on how to move forward.
