Startled awake by an unpleasant sensation that shot throughout his upper body, Sanji, a tall blonde man rose from a rich bistre wooden floor.
He appeared to have been asleep on that floor for hours, and had no memory of why he was there.
He also had no explanation for the different shades of bluish bruises that traced his wrists and other scattered parts of his body.
There were ropes tied to his limbs. This was worsening the soreness that radiated throughout his muscles.
"What's going on... Why am I here?"
The man perched his head upwards, staring at a curtain that had been ripped to shreds.
Behind that curtain was an open window that had also been shattered. Seeing this made the sleepy man come to his senses.
He squinted his eyes as his misty vision cleared up, allowing him to get a better view of the bedroom.
"This is..."
His mind began to spiral for seconds, and that's when it hit him: He remembered what event took place within the room that he was in.
~Flashback~
"Hell's Fury... Joue shoot!!"
"Now! Do it, now!"
"C.... Cowards... Don't you... Dare..."
"Hey boss, mind if I use this one?"
"You can't have him."
"Yeah? Why can't he have him, baby?"
"No, Luffy, don't-"
~~~
"Luffy!" Using every bit of energy he could gather from within him, Sanji freed himself from the tight ropes by straining his muscles for as long as he could.
The strength he put into rotating his ankles and wrists at a fast pace is what helped the man break free.
Disregarding the fact that his body was injured, Sanji started to search for his Captain, remembering now that he was in the young man's bedroom.
It took him to time to find the boy wrapped up in a beige colored sheet that had been unsympathetically draped over him by the last man that escaped the Sunny.
Perhaps one of the only men that actually bothered to "cover up their mistake" out of guilt or caution.
Because Sanji highly doubted that it was out of pity for the young man.
Pity was something that none of their kind ever showed. They were the most inhumane group of pirates he had ever encountered.
The Cook ran towards the Captain and placed his hand behind the his back, rubbing it, softly.
The boy was fully awake, but he wasn't moving or even making the slightest effort to speak.
"Luffy! Hi... Hi! It's me. It's Sanji!"
Normally, being around Sanji would make Luffy nervous.
He would turn away from the Cook and distract himself with someone or something else to avoid him at any cost.
But tonight, he wasn't avoiding him.
He wasn't reacting to him at all.
Sanji got closer to him and saw that the brunette had a set of red, bloodshot eyes.
A broken lip that was still bleeding, hand marks imprinted on his face and neck, most likely from being slapped or choked.
The Cook waved his hand across the boy's face, but he kept staring straight ahead. His gaze was entirely lost.
