After swallowing his pills, he opened his eyes to find Sanji kneeling down over his bed, appearing to be in pain.
He slowly walked over towards the older man, staring at him with concern as he grew silent.
"Sanji? What is it?"
Luffy's eyes widened to a capacity as the Cook winced in pain, showing his true colors to him.
"Sanji...? H-hey, are you okay? Do you need help? Speak to me!"
The Captain begged, feeling useless beside his Cook as he could hardly move his body to bend down to where he was.
But when the man stood back up again after resting his arms and head on the corner of Luffy's bed, he had a gentle smile on his face.
"S... Sanji.."
"Sorry Luffy, I dozed off for a second. I feel a little sleepy- Ouuf!"
The man started to cough after Luffy gave him an unexpected embrace.
"Dummy! If you felt sleepy, you should've said so... Don't do this to me."
The Captain glowered at Sanji with a sullen look across his face.
Sanji's arms were suspended in the air for a while before he reacted to Luffy's embrace, returning the gesture by hugging him back.
"Hold on, let me take mine too."
The man gently pulled away from his Captain for a bit to place a pill in his mouth.
Luffy distracted himself with the items in his room while waiting for Sanji to take his medications.
His eyes wandered around, but his body remained unmoved.
He waited patiently until Sanji was done, watching as he placed the round cap back onto his water bottle.
"Sanji!!"
The Cook sprayed water all over himself and Luffy's shirt when he heard the young man call out to him with such urgency.
"Bwaaaaf!! W-what?!"
He asked, turning his head around, fearing that someone had broken into the Captain's bedroom as a consequence of the traumatic experience that they had gone through.
"Damn, look at this mess. I got you all wet."
The Cook reached into his pocket to pull his handkerchief out with the intention of wiping down Luffy's shirt, but the younger had another idea in mind to solve the solution to the problem.
"Oh, I'll just change it."
He reached down to grab the corners of his shirt, then he lifted it up and over his head, exposing his chest to the Cook.
Shortly after doing this, Luffy slipped his shirt back down, feeling insecure about the excessive amount of bruises and scars that were on his torso.
"I'll... Change later."
"No, it's okay. I could wait outside."
Sanji placed his hands in his pockets, storing away his handkerchief while walking towards the door.
"What was that?"
He asked, almost certain that he heard Luffy say something.
"Can you... Wait out here? I could just change it in the bathroom. But don't leave! Okay?"
Being alone in his own bedroom was the one thing Luffy wanted to avoid doing at all cost.
Sanji complied with his order, promising to stay nearby until he changed.
