"Hey, hang in there! Luffy!"
Wrapping his arms around the Captain's thin waist, Zoro held him upright, using the most of his strength when Luffy could no longer stand up on his own, due to an energy surge in his body.
"Zoro.."
He merely spoke through his lips, his eyes looking dull and dim: Contrary to how they were when he first entered the restroom.
His legs felt heavier than ever, making it difficult for the boy to keep himself on his feet without losing his balance.
Keeping an eye on him, Zoro grabbed his snail transponder after it started ringing while his Captain felt weak.
"Luffy, I'm gonna sit you down while I answer this, okay?"
He said, carefully guiding Luffy down to sit on the toilet.
But before his Captain could sit, the Swordsman grabbed the silicone tip of the catheter and curved it upwards so that Luffy could hold it.
"Why do I have to hold it? Can't... Can't I just l.. Let it hang down?"
The Captain questioned, groaning ever so slightly at a sharp pain in his bladder after he sat down on the toilet.
"You can't let it touch anything or you'll get bacteria on the inside."
???: “Seems like you remembered what we spoke about before you saw him after the surgery, Zoro-ya.”
A voice echoing from the snail transponder spoke, startling both Zoro and Luffy.
Zoro: “There you are!”
Law: “You called?”
Zoro: “I did. We tried that thing with the syringe, and now he's bleeding.”
As harrowing as the Swordsman's reply was, Law didn't react to it with concern, but instead, in a casual manner.
Law: “Blood clots in the urine are very common in patients, after surgery. Is there blood or urine leaking from the sides of the catheter as well? Or is it directly from the catheter.”
The Surgeon asked, patiently waiting for a response from the Swordsman.
Zoro: “Just from the catheter. But Luffy's really weak. He almost fainted, just now.”
Law: “Is he running a fever?”
Zoro looked over at Luffy and placed the back of his hand against his cheeks and forehead.
Zoro: “No. In fact, I think his temperature might be below average because he feels really cold. His hands and feet are freezing.”
Law: “Cold feet can be a sign of low hemoglobin levels. Considering the amount of blood that he lost, before and after the surgery... It's no surprise. Was he able to urinate afterwards?”
Zoro: “Well, we both got scared after we saw the blood clots, so... He hasn't emptied.”
Law: “Tell him to use the syringe. Nothing's gonna happen, blood clots are normal. If he stays with them inside, it'll only cause an obstruction in the catheter.”
Zoro: “Alright, gotcha.”
The Swordsman was about to hang up when Law continued speaking, holding him back on ending the call.
Law: “Stay on the line with me, this time. You could hang up after he's done, but keep me on the call, just in case you need me.”
Zoro: “Will do. I'll have Luffy hold the snail transponder then, because I'm the one that's gonna do it.”
