A brand new day welcomed Luffy with the brightness of the sun that he hadn't seen in a few days, when the Polar Tang resurfaced to the top of the Ocean.
The motion of the submarine swaying from side to side made him feel slightly dizzy while he stood in front of the Surgeon.
"Take these every night. It's to prevent spasms and erections while you're still recovering. I'm going to be in contact with Zoro-ya. Once your ten days are up, I'll be able to remove this."
He informed the Captain, handing him a small white paper bag that contained a bottle of pills that he had to take at 10 o'clock at night for one week until his catheter was removed.
In spite of this being a lot for Luffy to take in, all at once, he still felt optimistic and nodded happily at Law.
"Keep that attitude of yours the same as it is, now. That goes for both of you. Don't stress yourselves out too much either. Okay?"
He questioned, placing his hands over Sanji and Luffy's shoulders, offering them an encouraging smile.
"You betcha!! Thank you for everything, Tra-guy!" The cheerful Captain replied.
"You really saved our asses, Torao. Literally, in my case!" Sanji rubbed his backside, making Luffy laugh.
He placed his hand over the top of the boy's head, ruffling his hair while they stepped onto the Surgeon's deck.
"Woaaah, she's got a huuuge deck!" Luffy spoke.
"Ah-ah, it's a "he", Luffy."
The Cook corrected his Captain, winking at Law while remembering their previous conversation based on his Polar Tang.
A smile temporarily traced Law's face as he lowered his hat, looking away before he was caught smiling.
"Luffy!"
The Captain's ears perked up as he heard the sound of a voice he knew all too well.
His heartbeat spiralled out of control as he spotted his Sunny getting closer and closer to Law's submarine.
"Oi!! Wait up, Zoro! Ya' cuckoo head!!"
Usopp shouted, extending his arm out to reach a man who simply couldn't wait one minute more to see his Captain.
Descending from a rope was a Swordsman who jumped directly onto the Polar Tang's round deck.
His head was up in the clouds, but his heart was almost hanging out of his mouth as he finally saw his lover, standing back on his own two feet.
"There he is..."
He thought to himself while he saw Luffy making his way towards him.
"That's my Luffy."
Spreading his arms out, the Swordsman engulfed Luffy into a heartfelt embrace.
One that he had been yearning to give him for a few days now.
No one said a thing for awhile as they captured a tender moment in between the Captain and his first mate.
Neither Luffy or Zoro could focus on anyone else other than on themselves and the strong emotions that were slowly returning to their hearts as they reunited with each other.
"It's been a while, hasn't it?"
Luffy asked through a chuckle, smiling up at the Swordsman who was still holding him in his arms, viewing the unalloyed joy orbiting his Captain's face.
"This felt longer to me than when we met up in Wano. Man... I really missed you, Luffy."
He sighed, feeling a weight being lifted off of his shoulders and chest after having Luffy back, safe and sound.
"Me more!" The younger man stated.
"Is that so? Nah.. I doubt it."
Zoro jokingly spoke, teasing his Captain as he carried him in his arms.
A painful stabbing sensation was sent throughout Luffy's body, attacking him from every angle possible in his lower abdomen while he struggled to free himself from Zoro's brusque embrace.
"Ow! Ow! W-wait..."
He complained, pushing against the Swordsman's shoulders while trying not to make things awkward for himself or the people around him. Especially for the Swordsman.
"Are you okay?"
The inquiry Zoro made was never answered on time by his Captain, given that Law spoke ahead of him.
"Take it easy on your Captain. He has stitches. You know which ones I mean, don't you?"
Law asked, trying to keep his conversation strictly in between him and Zoro.
The Swordsman shook his head in confirmation, disappointed in himself while he noticed how pale his Captain had become because of his mistake.
"He needs bed rest for one more day. Afterwards, he has to avoid doing activities that strain his body. The same goes for Blackfoot-ya."
"I understand." The younger man responded.
"Are we going back yet?"
Luffy asked, cutting in between the Swordsman's conversation with the Surgeon.
"We sure are. Say goodbye to Torao, first." Zoro responded, acting more cautious around Luffy.
"See ya' soon, Tra-guy!!!!! Thank you!! Bye, you guys!!"
The Captain waved at Law and his crewmates, feeling grateful towards them after they saved his life.
"Farewell, Straw Hat!!!"
"Feel better soon!" Penguin and Ikakku replied, waving back at Luffy.
"BYE-BYE, IKAKKU-SAAAAAN!!!"
Sanji interrupted, forming a heart with his arms for the curly haired woman as she playfully rolled her eyes, smiling at him.
"Take care, Blackfoot!!"
She shouted back, watching as the Cook merrily hopped aboard the Sunny to greet Nami and Robin with an equal amount of charisma and happiness.
"Ready?" Zoro asked, looking over at Luffy.
The boy smiled in agreement, hiding the fact that deep down inside, he was still unprepared for what he would have to deal with, later on.
"If being hugged by Zoro was painful, what else am I going to be sensitive to?" He thought to himself.
"Maybe I'm just over thinking it. I'll be alright..... Right?"
