~Earlier that day~

Law's POV:

Signing back into his computer once he was certain that the cyber attack that happened less than one week ago, was finally over, Law surfed the internet and checked every file on his device.

Luckily for him and the rest of his crewmates, none of their personal information had been tampered with.

Typing "Donquixote Rosinante" in the search box lead him to articles written about a certain man's death, and pictures of what he used to look like.

"Nothing. Let me try this..."

He clicked his tongue in frustration, deleting his previous search to look up something else.

This time, he wrote "Calm Calm model" and found many different results. Among all, only one caught his full attention.

"Huh? Devil fruit... Tracker? What's that?"

Clicking on the website, the Surgeon was immediately denied access and blocked by the government's private domain.

"Not letting me in, huh? Time to switch browsers then."

He cracked his neck, sat up straight, and moved to a different internet browser, one that allowed him to have full access to even the most confidential information on the internet, regardless of who operated the link he was now opening.

At first, he was able to stay for a while longer on the website, but as he scrolled through the page and saw pictures of the Calm Calm fruit, he also found an article written about it.

"The Calm Calm fruit: A blessing or a curse? Like most devil fruits, they have their pros and cons, but this particular type of fruit was previously consumed by one of the infamous Donquixote family members: Donquixote Rosinante, and it lead him to his own demise.

The 26-year-old man was heartlessly shot to death by his own brother, Donquixote Doflamingo, and passed away on December, 13 years ago.

The exact date of his death is undecided, as there are many who speculate it was on the 24th of Christmas Eve, but others say it was on December 15th, ten days before Christmas.

With his passing, the man's powerful devil fruit reappeared, one week later, and was found nearly an entire month afterwards, located in the outer layers of an Island called "Punk Hazard", a feature that was headlined all over the news.

Little is known as to why this mysterious devil fruit ended up in the hands of "Demon Bamboo" Vergo, a former Marine officer, but there is a story behind how he found it.

One fateful night, the man was picking up bits and scraps within the lab of Punk Hazard's most notorious criminal, Ceaser Clown, when he discovered the Calm-Calm fruit, hidden somewhere among the many Smiles that were left behind in the laboratory.

In spite of Vergo working under the Marines and being a high-ranking Marine Officer, he ingested the fruit and committed an unforgivable crime by betraying the government.

Once he inherited the same abilities as Rosinante, Vergo felt untouchable, unstoppable.

Rumors of him forming an "Alliance from Hell" with Kuro, Captain of the Black Cat Pirates, spread all throughout the internet when someone shared a photo of them on Kuro's ship, both passed out drunk.

And recently, there has been a buzz about a "planned murder" after Vergo's body was found floating above water, near an uncharted island.

However, this theory was debunked since it was later on stated that Vergo's DNA didn't match the corpse that was afloat the ocean surface.

Down below are two photos: One of them describes the former Marine officer's identity, the other one is a photo of what the Calm Calm fruit looks like.

If you happen to find either one, please contact-"

Before he could get to the very end of the article, the Surgeon clicked on a link that asked him to access his location.

Denying the website access to his location, the man still managed to open the link that lead him to a virtual map.

As he opened it, his saffron colored eyes glistened in astonishment at what he discovered.

"These are all devil fruits. Every single one of them... And their users. Mine is even on here. So is Mugiwara-ya's!"

Before he could dive further into the details of the mysterious map, Law settled down in his seat, distracted by the thoughts that came rushing into his mind after he was done reading the article.

"Wait, that shape-"

He squinted his eyes and furrowed his eyebrows, getting a closer look of a very familiar looking devil fruit that was blinking on the large map.

"That's Cora-San's fruit!"

His crewmates poked their heads around the corner, listening to their Captain as the pitch in his voice range went up.

"Where... What island is this?"

He asked himself, zooming into the map.

The size of the Calm-Calm fruit grew smaller on the screen when Law zoomed in on it.

"This doesn't make any sense. I held that man's last breath in the palm of my hands and watched him die."

Law told himself as he experienced difficulties with getting a clear visual on the fruit while it shifted from one part of the map to the other.

"Bepo!" He called out to his first mate.

The Polar Bear showed up almost seconds after Law mentioned his name.

"You called?" He asked, taking a few steps into the Surgeon's office.

"Set our location to wherever that blinking light is headed, Cora-San's fruit is there, so I'll follow it even to the deepest depths of hell if I have to."

"S.. Scary... But so cool!"

Bepo thought to himself while shouting "Yes, Captain!" to Law.

The man rose from his chair, trying to cool his head off by standing outside of his office, but he had a difficult time doing so and couldn't stop pacing around his submarine.

Because of this, he thought of doing the first thing that came to his mind: Making a call on his snail transponder.

"If this information is accurate, then that man is still alive out there, somewhere. I have to warn the others about this."
