"Yeah, I'm coming over," Jaquella announced, trying to ignore the smile playing on her lips when she heard her mother squealing in excitement, the huge feeling of finally meeting her only daughter after seven long months.

Her mother, Fiona, grinned at her daughter's words. "Great! Can't wait to see you, baby." She paused. "Oh, wait, your father wants to talk to you."

Then, she continued as she gave the phone to her husband beside her before letting her daughter have a chance to talk.

"Mom-" Jaquella started but her dad cut her right off, too excited to not even wait just a bit to hear his daughter's voice all himself.

"Hey, sweetie." He held a huge grin plastered on his face, as he thought about hearing the most enchanting, stunning voice that held in his daughter's vocal cords.

It had been a while, exactly seven depressing months without Jaquella and who knows how damn much he's missed her all these times he had thought of her.

"How're you doing?" He asked, curiosity spilling onto his words.

Jaquella let out a faint exhale, her body slowly mitigating as she loosened herself against the soft fabric of her couch.

"Hi, Dad. I'm doing good, what did you want to talk about?" She lightly frowned, wondering what her father thought about, intrusively.

Just then, Tyler cursed under his breath as he suddenly realized that he forgot what he wanted to talk about.

It was pretty important and he just couldn't help himself when he got distracted, just the angelic voice of his daughter, the first time he heard in months.

He nervously chuckled, scratching the back of his neck. "Sorry, sweetie, I forgot so bear me. But I do miss you very much, Ella." He stated his favourite nickname given by Jaquella who she loved ever since she was placed in his arms for the very first time.

The smile on her lips widened when she heard him, reliving the special moments she's been called 'Ella' millions of times by her family. It was such a delightful experience to ever have, throughout the journey of adolescence.

"I do too, Dad, but I'm only coming next week Friday," Jaquella reminded Tyler.

She couldn't help but once remember the thought of when she first left the home she grew up in, along with her four older brothers and their all different sorts of pets.

It took Fiona and Tyler a while to apprehend their daughter's happiness and her desire to move out at such a young age, all due to her uprising career.

Especially, her parents already knew what Jaquella was capable of, so it wouldn't pose such a huge problem or challenge to her or the rest of the family.

They all had it under control and pressure now that she was all grown up and ready for the day of young adulthood.

Yet she had always tried to experience the perfect moment of a vacation, to explore the adventures outside the country she's currently living in.

But she failed to take constant trips and would instead ask a few of her brothers about the experience they had, moving from one country to another around the same time.

Since two of her oldest brothers, Nicholas and Braxton were born in Dallas and Nashville, it was because of Tyler's career; nearly travelling almost all of the world back and forth repeatedly, which caused him and Fiona to move and switch homes almost constantly.

As much as the two wanted their kids to explore and grow up in Canada like where they originally grew up before, Fiona and Tyler intentionally never got the time to do so as she watched her husband grow over time in his hockey career until retiring twenty-two years ago.

Until then, they finally settled in Hamilton, after his official retirement for once and all, and lastly, where their fifth and final child was born, her whole childhood had a huge impact in a home where she called it forever home, a place she loved more than anything else.

Jaquella heard a couple of voices mumbling in the background of her father's call and waited until she heard him talk.

Meanwhile, Fiona gently placed her hand on Tyler's shoulder as she caught his attention.

She shook her head in response and muttered his name, if only she had heard his thoughts, as to question their daughter a bunch of questions. In response, Tyler exhaled deeply.

"Alright, dear, I'll leave you alone for now. I'll go, but I love you and I can't wait to see you on Friday." He said, grinning extensively.

Jaquella's lips grew a smile at his words, her cheeks being pinched slightly for grinning so much the past fifteen minutes before.

"I love you too, Dad. Bye, Mom!" She had to make sure that her mother heard her and in response, Fiona chuckled, saying one final bye before Jaquella put the call to an end.

She reaches over to her coffee table and placed her phone there with a smile that she couldn't be able to crack. It felt good to her that she'd hear both of her parents talk.

She just missed them so much, she specifically couldn't wait until Friday to finally see them and her brothers.

Resuming the movie she was watching earlier, she clicked on the remote sitting next to her before leaning against the couch, escaping a loud, deep exhale from her chest.

For a split second, she suddenly dragged her eyes off her TV screen slowly and narrowed them, glancing at her phone on the coffee table.

A particular guy once crossed her mind who she thought of and the group chat that she was mistaken for, he accidentally added her. His name was Trevor Zegras and he was stupid hot.

Jaquella hated the feeling, but yet couldn't help but think about him every single time she looked at her phone or the group chat.

She evidently didn't want to admit the fact that she was starting to like being in a strange yet humorous group chat with a bunch of young hockey players, it looked surprisingly fun.

Although Trevor's been the one pushing her back suddenly and Jaquella wanted to know why. She had these questions stuck to her and wish to ask them since she's done nothing but be sarcastic.

Yet it was a bunch of jokes and Jaquella noticed that he was holding a little grudge to himself. He was starting to get sensitive, and even some of his friends had recognized just by his expressions.

But sensitive or not, Jaquella would like to really know what had been going on with these little pieces of hints, even though she's been in the group chat for the past twenty-four hours ago.
