Jaquella showed no emotion. She held a blank look, pursing her lips into a thin line as she glanced at the man beside her. She swallowed harshly when he raised a brow at her.

Knowing that her family would intrude on their conversations and attack them with nothing but questions, Jaquella mentally screamed in excitement and happiness.

She could jump out of her skin and dance in front of her family without a care in this world. Only, she stood up, quietly excusing herself, exiting the dining room as if nothing had happened.

Trevor frowned deeply, confused as he watched the girl randomly walk away from their conversation. He looked over to her brothers and thought to himself what the hell did he just discover.

Meanwhile, when Jaquella closed the washroom door behind her, not even turning her body around until she let out a heavy breath, panting throughout.

She couldn't believe it. He likes her, Trevor likes her. Trevor likes me is all she could of. She was positive that she must've heard his words apart from his lips, loud and clear.

It just seemed to happen so fast and once this was all happening when Trevor got to meet her family for the first time just to help her out so she wouldn't be alone.

Realizing apart from now, she was starting to like how he was quick about it, not even denying the fact that he already spilled his feelings to her.

Without hesitation, Jaquella grabbed her phone and swiped, tapping on the screen rapidly once she got to her messages.

She sent a few to a certain person and less than a whole minute, a gentle knock was heard. Jaquella opened the door and quickly grabbed a fistful of his shirt, pulling him through.

Trevor's eyes widened in surprise at her sudden actions as she closed the door and gave him a look. The two caught eye contact together, giving each other a couple of glimpses over.

He began to part his lips, speaking up to overcome this silence in the washroom but Jaquella cut him off quickly.

"What the hell, Trevor?" She let out a sigh and he raised his forehead, confusedly. "What was that anyway?" She asked.

"What?" He said, dumbfounded as he blinked rapidly as if he hadn't got a clue.

"Back there." She replied. "What you said earlier." And added, Trevor finally figured out what she was talking about.

He quietly chuckled, his cheeks spreading out and his dimples popping off. Jaquella crossed her arms together, glancing at him carefully.

"Look, I'm sorry. But I figured it was a good time to tell you that I like you." He ran his hand through his hair, some parts became messy and Jaquella couldn't help herself but watch his movements. "Do you want me to say it back? And just be friends again?" He emphasized slowly.

It brought her back to reality as she looked at him directly, shaking her head.

"No!" She exclaimed. "No, it's-us between, it's complicated, Trevor. And I know we've kissed before and all that. But the thing is, I can't help myself either because I like you too. I'm just-" She suddenly paused.

Trevor frowned, slowly getting closer as he stood right in front of her, their chest nearly closing in, a small gap remaining. Then, he nudged his head to the side to look at her perfectly.

"What is it?" He said calmly.

Jaquella exhaled, "I'm scared." Never thought in a million years that she'd admit her true feelings to a guy, besides apart from her own brothers.

A small, gentle smile made its way to Trevor's lips until he found himself cupping her soft cheek, her expression slowly softening against his warm embrace.

"You don't have to be, Ella. I'm here for you." He whispered. Wasting no time, she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling herself onto him as he embraced her with such gentleness, warm touch.

He snaked his arms over her waist, hiding his face in the crook of her neck and smiling against her skin. Jaquella felt the smile widen on his lips and chuckle, instantly relaxing against his hug.

"Thank you, Trevor." She muttered, only for him to hear even though they were alone in the washroom. Her eyes shut and her head laid comfortably on his chest, nearly where she could hear his heart beating.

If only she knew that Trevor had his chest thumping rapidly enough and he was just blessed that he was in an enchanting spot with the girl he liked in his arms.
