JAQUELLA
A click caught my attention when the front door opened, revealing Tabitha as she closed behind her.
She had a smile on her face like she had been seeing someone in particular. I raised my brow at her, crossing my arms against my chest.
"What was that two days ago?" I asked, beating around the bushes.
The smile grew, "Well, hello, friend. My day's been great." She sarcastically replied, approaching my kitchen and sitting on one of the stools, facing me.
I knew damn well that she hasn't forgotten about the night she spent with us two days ago, not after when she and Quinn became closer than ever and cuddled and did whatever they did in one of my guest rooms.
I raised my forehead like I wasn't going to buy her silly tricks, "You and Quinn?" I slowly said.
Tabitha only shrugged her shoulders, grabbing one of my small vases and playing with it. I took it out of her hands and she sent me a look as if this was one of the mother-daughter talks.
"Come on, T. What's going on between you guys?"
She sighed, "It's nothing new. We only made out."
"You're saying this is not the first time that's happened?" I couldn't believe what I was hearing at this point. I just couldn't dare to face the fact that it hadn't been the first time Tabitha and Quinn made out.
Who knew what they also did.
Her cheeks became blushed as she tried to hide her face out of embarrassment. It took her a few moments before she exhaled loudly.
"Nothing's going on if I'm being honest. I mean, I like him. He's a sweet guy and all, but I think it's better that I just keep my distance away."
Her voice slowly faded out and I nodded my head, knowing where she was coming from. The tone of her voice immediately turned sour like she had remembered at one point in her life.
She went through a lot, even at such a young age and made a certain point that she'd never repeat the same mistake.
Tabitha was in a long-term relationship with her ex-boyfriend, in which they first met in our former middle school.
I remember Jamie found out that they liked each other and was hoping to take another level of their relationship, he wasn't impressed at all.
But then he knew that they were young and sometimes, they were clueless of love and affection. Tabitha gave her ex a chance and they quickly fell in love.
They practically grew up together and spent time a lot more than Jamie was starting to get used to around their obvious affection.
It was about when he was a hockey player in our high school and had a huge influence on almost everyone around. He had hockey scouts calling him in and out every time.
Their love together was unique and different and that was what everyone needed. For them to practice after school, and go on dates every other day in the afternoon, they were madly in love with each other.
However, Tabitha later found out that he had been cheating on her with many other girls, just a week before their prom. She had planned a huge surprise for him for their fifth anniversary.
