The ride back home was quiet, though not in an uncomfortable way. Your short time spent allowing the tears to fall had worn you out a bit. But it was a release, as it always was, so you felt moderately better. Having someone essentially take control and tell you what you were going to do also helped.

He gave no indication about what was on his mind. Telling you the truth was risky, but it was better in the long run. You would be able to find the virus and keep it isolated until it was removed. If he'd lied just to ease your mind, it would have blown up in his face.

[I'm unsure if I would get away with another blatant lie; she's sharper than most of the precinct. Yet I don't want to admit... I cannot stop this. The tests are futile. My garden is poisoned... she is my only solace.]

By the time Connor had slowed to a stop and parked the rental in your driveway, you had drifted off to sleep. You were not awakened, but the android did take great care in carrying you into the house himself. Balancing you while unlocking the door was a feat, and he hoped you wouldn't mind.

Connor stopped dead just inside the entryway. You'd gotten the control panel to operate completely, and there were several additions he was unaware of. Notably the voice, coming from nearby, developed beyond the old home systems.

"Welcome back, Connor," it promptly spoke.

[She programmed it to recognize me...]

There were no more tears, but your android gazed down at you, still asleep. A rush of serenity covered his mind, knowing that he'd found solace again, temporary though it might be.

You were brought silently to your room, but here he knew he'd have to wake you. Connor was far from comfortable trying to get you ready to sleep. It would mean clothing removal, something he was vastly unprepared to handle. Hell, he was still getting used to not wearing a tie!

A few careful motions got you to stir, realizing that you'd dozed off and was carried inside. "Oh.... shit... I... I didn't mean to crash..."

"It was expected." When he knew you'd sit upright, the android set you on your bed, leaving your purse off to the side. "While tonight did not go exactly as I'd planned... I... hope you enjoyed it," he slowly added.

The shy expression and slight smile only made your heart melt; as sleepy as you felt, you took his hands into your own. "What do you mean? I was totally planning on zapping the cocksucker that bullies you."

"Y--..." His smile widened, looking down. "Sarcasm. I finally caught it."

"If I knew he targeted you specifically, I could have tased him much sooner." After a little effort you got to your feet, meandering towards the nearby dresser. "I told Hank. He laughed so hard he couldn't hold his phone." Pulling a couple articles of clothing out, you turned to eye the android. "He also told me you've got a sharp tongue when you finally decide to clap back."

"He was insulting you, I wouldn't stand for it," Connor replied, a bite in his tone. "He knew nothing about you, and had no right to target you. I care little what he says about me.... but if you are his victim, he deserves every insult I can create." His smile twisted into a gesture that seemed almost... cruel. "I have no issue with returning his attitude."

Kid's borderline obsessed...

You swallowed hard. "Honey, that's very sweet, but... I tased him. The bullying might escalate, and I don't want you hurt again."

Shaking his head, the android frowned. "It isn't the point. Reed has n--aaaahhhh...." he sputtered, whipping around so fast he nearly lost his balance.

[No. No no no. Not ready.]

Staring at the odd behavior, you realized the problem. Heels in hand, they were put away in the closet. "... you know you're allowed to look, right?"

"While nudity in general does not bother me, even I am aware that it is a delicate matter more often than not." His hands clenched and relaxed as he spoke, trying to physically will their shakiness away.

"Just tell me you're not ready, Connor."

"I am far from ready. Very far. Seeing you in attire outside of your usual is... m-more than enough right now."

The clothes you planned to sleep in remained in your hand; your other gently laid on his back. Connor's head jerked a tiny bit to look at you. "It's okay. I'm the last person to push you when you aren't ready. And... thank you for being respectful. I mean... being polite is all well and good, but you're making a huge effort to be proper. So thank you. And... damn, I tease you a lot, don't I? I'm not exactly returning the respect."

"Your teasing isn't humiliating, I rather enjoy it. And it helps me learn." Then his face set firmly in his thought process. "... I said I'm not ready, but... I... h-have a request."

Oh, boy. "And what would my adorable boyfriend want to ask of me?"

Good thing he was incapable of blushing. "I... mm..." Wincing, Connor tensed up, but pushed forward. "You said you were... attracted to my lack of tie, and... in response, I... admitted to being drawn to your... exposed back..." Another wince. "P-please... please turn around."

This was intriguing. "All right, honey," you murmured, turning to face away from him. Did he just want to... you didn't know. Commit it to memory?

Not exactly. Your android did gaze openly, wondering why he was drawn to the sight, until it made more sense: it wasn't just your back. It was the way the spine curved naturally, how your hips moved as you walked... the list seemed endless.

On your end, you just stood still, not expecting much of anything. Certainly not the fingertips running down, along your spine. The touch was barely felt.

The hands carefully taking your hips, on the other hand, couldn't be avoided. Nor could the kiss left to the side of your neck, or the one at the back of it. "J-Jesus Christ..." was all you managed, legs numb with chills.

"Tomorrow," Connor spoke, still holding your hips. "You offered me... the chance to feel things properly. Tomorrow, I'd like to... experience it." His hands released, but his arms wrapped around your waist instead. "I am reacting and responding in total blindness. I have no such thing as instincts. I never know if I am a partner you want to keep, or if my actions are too unusual for you." He hugged you a little tighter, allowing himself the luxury of burying his face into the crook of your neck. Completely unaware that you were melting again. "... please give me the chance to feel. I want to know what it's like when you take my hands, or you gift me with a kiss. Even when you slap me on occasion."

"Yeah, I'm... sorry for slapping you."

"I'll accept them, so long as I can feel them."
