Friday took forever to roll around. It was only two days away but it felt like two months. I was so excited.

Bennett and I had been talking to each other every night and hanging out a school whenever possible.

I was getting ready for the party and picked out a casual outfit like Bennett said. I picked out cute jean shorts and a pretty baby pink tank top.

He had a friend who was a senior who was picking me up so I panicked when he told me he was here and I needed to finish a few things.

I sprayed perfume and ran out of my room with my phone. I stepped outside and saw Bennett holding the door open.

I smiled and walked up. He held out his hand smiling and I took it stepping into the car. He got in next to me and his friend started driving.

"So I have a few things to tell you." He looked at me.

"Hm?" I met his brown eyes.

"There are some people here who will try and talk to you. Don't engage with them and don't leave my side. Ok?"

"Yeah." I nodded a little confused. "Is something wrong? It's just a party." I laughed a little nervously.

"Yeah. There's just some sketchy people here and I don't want you getting hurt."

"Ok." I smiled to myself happy with his answer.

The rest of the drive was quick and we chatted more. When we got there, I thanked his friend and we walked off.

He introduced me to a few people but I get the impression he didn't like them too much.

The party was really fun. There was music, games, a dance floor, and a pool. We spent our time hanging out by the food. I forgot to eat dinner so it tasted extra good.

"I've got to go to the bathroom. Stay here ok?" I nodded and Bennett walked off quickly.

I bit a strawberry and looked around. I saw couples making out intensely and people grinding on each other on the dance floor.

A guy with fluffy blonde hair walked up to me. "I've never seen you before." He started.

I didn't really know what to say. "Yea." My voice trailed off and I looked to the door hoping Bennett would be back soon.

"You with Hawthorne?" He asked me another question.

"Uhm yea." I kept looking around.

"I'm right here." He grabbed my face lightly and made me face him.

"I'm sorry I need to find someone." I removed my face from his grip and took a step to walk in the other direction but he stopped me.

"One more question." I looked at him annoyed. I was a little scared of him but I didn't show that part. "Do you know what's actually going on here?"

"What? It's just a party." I said.

"So no, you don't." He licked his lips as he looked at me.

"How old are you?"

"You said one more question and you asked it so can I go find my friend now?" I took a step again but this time he grabbed my shoulders and held me in place.

"Answer the question." He stared at me. His deep blue eyes pierced right through my brown ones.

"I'll be sixteen soon." I looked down to avoid him. "Can I go now?" My voice got quiet.

"Let me get you a drink first. You want vodka or sprite?"

"Sprite." I answered without hesitation.

He grabbed a cup and handed it to me. "Here you are..." He waited for me to say my name.
