~Nine~

"So we found someone who has a young litter of boxador puppies. They are probably about two months old. If that's still what you guys want." My mom walked into my room later that night.

"It is! Let me see!" I sat up from my bed excitedly.

"Go get your brother first." She told me.

I got up and ran into the bathroom which connected our rooms. I knocked on AJ's door which he opened.

"What?"

"Mom found boxador puppies! Let's go!" I ran back into my room jumping on my bed. AJ came in and jumped on it next to me.

"There are six puppies but we have to get our application in quick because there are already so many people waiting. Which one do you guys like?" My mom scrolled through the pictures on her phone.

"The black one is adorable!" I pointed to the picture of the black puppy.

"Your father liked that one too." She smiled looking at the picture.

"I want this one." AJ pointed to a brown and white puppy.

"That one has so many requests already we wont be able to get her. I say we get the black one." My mom apologized to AJ.

"When would we get her?" I asked excitedly.

"Tomorrow when you get home from school." My mom answered. That worked for me.

"But school is going to go by so slowly tomorrow!" AJ complained.

"I know buddy. You should get to sleep though. It's after nine." My mom reminded him.

"Ok goodnight." He got up and walked back into his room shutting the door behind him.

"I'm going to go to bed soon too mom. Love you, goodnight." I gave her a kiss and laid down.

"Love you too. Your father will be up in a bit. He's doing some work right now." She smiled at me and shut the door behind her.

I scrolled through TikTok and Insta for a while. My dad poked his head in about twenty minutes later and said goodnight to me.

I was getting tired from the shit day I had so I put my phone down and shut my eyes. I had to come up with a plan on how to get rid of Ethan.

"Bailey are you better today?" Max asked as I walked up his driveway to where he was sitting.

"Much better. Guess what!"

"What?"

"I'm getting a puppy after school!" I cheered.

"No way! What kind?" He eagerly asked.

"A boxador. It's a lab and boxer mix." I pulled out my phone to show a picture of the puppy.

"That's adorable! Can I come over and meet her later?"

"I don't think my parents will want that on the first day we get her. You will meet her soon though." I assured him.

Cody pulled up so we hurriedly got in the car and I told everyone else the good news. They were all just as excited as I was.

All I had to do was get through today at school with Ethan.

When we got to school and parked, we went to our usual spot while Cody's girlfriend got in the car. I'm pretty sure they fuck before school but that's none of my business.
