"Can I ask you something?" I asked Bennett as he turned the lights off.

"Shoot." He sat down next to me on the bed.

"Why can't you ask the other two gangs here for help. I mean, they can't like Ethan. There's no way anyone could like him. What if they got together and helped us defeat him?"

He took a deep breath. "How do I explain this in a way that would make sense to you?" He thought for a moment. "Are you familiar with Harry Potter?"

"Yeah I love Harry Potter!"

"Ok well the four houses, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin represent the four gangs in this case. Ethan is Slytherin and we are Gryffindor." He began explaining.

"Makes sense." I nodded.

"We don't know the leader of the 'Ravenclaw gang' but they basically keep to themselves and stay in a corner doing drug trades and shipments. They really don't like to get involved with Ethan because their last leader was murdered by him."

"Oh shit."

"Yeah. Shit. Anyway, the 'Hufflepuffs' try and defuse the tension between everyone. They act all nice but the second you have something they want, they take it. That's why we stay away from them. They're thieves who put on an innocent face to get what they want."

"Why is everyone in this world a bitch?" I joked.

"Hey, you're in this world now too." He laughed.

"But I'm not a bitch." I smiled.

"No, you're most definitely not."

We laid down and got comfortable not talking for a few minutes. I needed to ask him some questions but I was scared for his answers.

"I'm sorry." I said quietly.

"For what?" He asked baffled.

"You gave up your gang for me. That wasn't fair for you. You shouldn't have had to do that."

"I had to. I don't want you to feel bad." He reassured me. "I did it because I love you."

"I love you too." I smiled. "What will we do if Ethan comes back?" I asked worried.

"I don't know." He whispered. "We'll figure it out."

I smiled again although he probably couldn't see in the dark room. I rested my head on his chest and slowly fell asleep.

I bolted down the street. It was pitch black so it had to have been in the dead hours of the night.

His heavy footsteps behind me got closer so I ran as fast and hard as I could. It was no use though. He was faster and he had more stamina. Him catching me is inevitable.

I couldn't just go knock on someone's door. They wouldn't hear it and even if they did, by the time they opened it, he would have caught me.

My mind was blank and the only thing I thought was 'don't look back. If you look back he will catch you.'

My legs were burning and my lungs were gasping for air. Two big strong arms suddenly wrapped around my torso and I knew he caught me.

"Hello darling."

I sat up gasping for air. Bennett was asleep beside me and I realized it was all just a bad dream.

I jumped when I heard what sounded like a vase breaking. I instantly shook Bennett awake.
