~Twenty-Three~

"Lexi knock!" I panicked grabbing my shirt and slipping it on.

"Sorry! Believe me I didn't want to see that." She gave Bennett a side eye as he put his shirt back on. "But Max and I are leaving in like five minutes so you should probably come say goodbye to us and our parents."

"Alright, yeah. I'm coming." I followed Lexi out of the room with Bennett behind me. "Lex."

"Yeah?"

"You better not tell anyone." I warned her.

"But Max is gonna want to know!" She turned to me as we got in the elevator.

"No. He will never let me live it down."

"Lexi you may as well tell him when we actually do something. Seems like every time we try someone walks in." Bennett gave her a sarcastic look.

The elevator door opened and we walked out. "Not a word Lexi." I grabbed her arm looking her in the eye.

"Fine." She rolled her eyes sarcastically.

We walked over and said goodbye to everyone and they eventually all left.

"Bennett aren't your parents worried sick about you?" My dad asked when we were alone.

"My parents aren't around anymore. I live with my cousin." Bennett explained.

"I think I remember you mentioning that." My mom chimed in.

"I gave him a call last night but he isn't even home right now. He's in New York for some work conference." Bennett lied. "I should go back soon though."

"I want to go with you." I grabbed his hand. "Dad can I please go?" I asked him.

"I don't know Bailey." He was hesitant.

"Dad please I'll be fine. We are just going like seven minutes away." I tried helping my case.

"If you're back here by nightfall." He gave in.

"Yes thank you! I love you dad!" I gave him a big hug and went upstairs to change.

I decided to just put a hoodie on with my Nike Pros and call it a day. It was cute and comfortable so I went back downstairs and saw Bennett ready to go.

"Let's go." I smiled as we walked out of the house.

We got in the car and took off. It was a quick drive with us talking about how we can't get a minute alone.

We reached his house and saw a few cars in the driveway. We drove through the gate and parked in the garage.

"Hey I'm back!" Bennett announced as we walked into the house. Taylor came running around the corner and gave her big brother a big hug.

"Hey Taylor!" He picked her up and held her closely.

"I missed you." She smiled finally having her older brother back.

"I'm here now. Everything is taken care of." He reassured her putting her down.

"Bailey!" She smiled at me and ran into my arms. We had a short hug then she pulled away and led us into the kitchen where there was a group of people.

I saw Nick, Bonnie, Chase, Logan, Nate, and Braunson. "Hey guys." I waved.

"Hey how are you doing?" Bonnie asked me.

"Pretty good." I smiled running up to hug her.

I gave the rest of them a hug. I mean they all saved my ass at least once or twice. I took a seat next to Bennett once introductions were done.
