It was time for the midsummer's party and knowing y/n she's not the type of girl to sit in her bed after a break up, she's. gonna show herself off, and honestly I was not mentally prepared for that. But I made it my mission to try and talk to her about what she saw, I just didn't know when I would do it.

I kept looking for y/n at midsummers but had to stop when kie came up to me and put her hand of my shoulder and smiled up at me.

She was about to say something until y/n walked right past of like she couldn't even see we were there, and after that I just couldn't take my eyes off her.

I saw her alone getting a drink so I was gonna go try and talk to her, but then rafe walked up behind her and they started talking and laughing.

I knew I was jelous so now was the perfect time to talk to her. I walked over behind her and rafe looked at me and then y/n turned around when she saw rafe staring.

Her expression fell flat but she kept avoiding eye contact. "y/n can we please talk" I said to her desperately.

Before she could even answer rafe answered for her. "She dosent wanna talk" he said standing up.

"look im not here to cause trouble man. But she can talk for herself." I said trying to defend her and she got a smile on her face. Progress.

"sure thing, let's talk" she said standing up and going out to the dock where I followed beside her.

We just stood there for a minute until I finally started talking. "y/n I'm so so sorry. I tend to just let things happen without thinking." I said, I really wanted to fix what we had.

"clearly" She said. I could tell she was upset but she was trying to hold it in.

"y/n I know you'll never forgive me and it a horrible-" I was saying but then she cut me off.

"I love you JJ"
