Epilogue

Y/n stayed at the hospital to look after aunt May after her run-in with the Goblin, and at this point if he wasn't worried about the people being caught in all of this he was worried now. Not only did Green Goblin know who Spider-Man was, he used his aunt to get to him. Mary Jane eventually learned about the incident and came to the hospital as quickly as she could, just as worried about May as Y/n was. The two are currently sitting in two chairs sitting beside aunt May's bed, talking about the situation.

Mary Jane: I'm sorry. Will she be okay?

Y/n: She's going to be fine. She's been sleeping all day. Thanks for coming.

Mary Jane: Of course. 

Y/n: How are you? You okay about the other night?

Mary Jane: Yeah, I'm fine. I just felt bad about leaving Aunt May. 

Y/n: Have you talked to Harry?

Mary Jane: He called me. I haven't called him back. The fact is I'm in love with somebody else.

Y/n: [Suspicious] You are?

Unknown to the two, May slowly begins to wake up and listens to the conversation.

Mary Jane: At least I think I am. It's not the time to talk about it.

Y/n: No. Go on. Would I know his name, this guy?

Mary Jane: [Slight chuckle] You'll think I'm a stupid little girl with a crush.

Y/n: [Sincere] Trust me.

Mary Jane: It's funny. He's saved my life twice, and I've never even seen his face.

Y/n: [Sarcastically] Oh. Him.

Mary Jane: [Playful gasp] You're laughing at me.

Y/n: No, I understand. He is extremely cool.

Mary Jane: But do you think it's true, all the terrible things they say about him?

Y/n: No, no, not Spider-Man, not a chance in the world. I know him a little bit. I'm sort of his unofficial photographer.

Mary Jane: Has he mentioned me?

Y/n: Yeah.

Mary Jane: [Excited] What'd he say?

Y/n: I said... [Rethinks wording] He asked me what I thought about you.

Mary Jane: And what did you say?

Y/n: I said, "Spider-Man." I said, "The great thing about MJ is when you look in her eyes and she's looking back in yours everything feels not quite normal. Because you feel stronger and weaker at the same time. You feel excited and at the same time terrified. The truth is, you don't know what you feel except you know what kind of man you want to be. It's as if you've reached the unreachable and you weren't ready for it."

Mary Jane: [Whispers] You said that?

Y/n: [Whispers back] Well, something like that.

Y/n looks down full of embarrassment, and as aunt May closes her eyes Mary Jane puts her hand over his, feeling appreciated about what he had just said. The two stay like that without a care in the world, until Harry comes in and sees the two having a moment. Mary Jane pulls away, and Y/n's the first to speak.

Y/n: [Silently] Hey.

Harry goes back home looking for his father, but before he can call out to him he hears the Goblin's cackle flying through the walls of the building.

Harry: Dad? Dad, is that you?

Norman: [Walks into room; looks at Harry] What is it?

Harry: You were right about MJ. You're right about everything. She's in love with Y/n.
