Real

If someone were to ask me right now, I would say that today has been among my best days so far. I never saw myself in a relationship like the one I'm in right now, and it wasn't until then that I realized how important I was to someone. It's different from the relationship I had back then. This feels more...real.

Pinagmamasdan ko si Appolo habang naka upo siya sa isang bench dito sa mini garden ng aming school. His masculinity and fine look stands out even in that distance. Nakayuko siya habang magkahawak ang mga kamay na naghihintay sa akin.

Nangunot nga lang ang noo ko ng makita sa malayong puno ang isang babae na pinagtutulakan ng mga kaibigan niya. They are encouraging her to go to Appolo. I folded my arms and raised an eyebrow as the girl began to walk towards Appolo. Humakbang din ako papalapit sa kanila hanggang sa narinig ko ang boses nila.

Appolo looked up at the girl after he notice that she's standing in front of him.

"Uh, H-hi." She shyly greeted him.

I stayed behind the bushes while watching them. They didnt saw me because they are busy talking with each other, however, I saw that her friends noticed me, and suddenly they panicked.

"Yes?" Si Appolo.

"I'm Janaya. Uh--p-pwede ba kitang maka-date sa uh—prom?" Nauutal na tanong niya.

I played with my tongue and tilted my head while waiting for Appolo's response.

"I'm sorry, but I'm going to ask someone today, and I'm waiting for her." Sagot niya na nakapagpanguso sa akin.

Kita ko ang mas lalong pagkailang ng babae. Umiling naman ako ng ilang beses at nanatiling nakikinig sa kanila.

"It means wala ka pa namang ka-date sa prom." The girl concluded.

Nangunot ang noo ko duon. What is this crazy girl thinking?

"If hindi siya pumayag, pwede bang... ako ang maka-date mo?" Dagdag niya pa.

Oh? I shifted my weight. Now she got the courage to talk, and somehow ask for a deal with Appolo even though she was already turned down.

Appolo didn't answer immediately kaya bahagya akong nairita duon. Ano? Balak niyang i-consider ang sinabi ng babae?

I stood up straight and finally approached them. I could see how the woman's eyes widened when she saw me behind Appolo.

"You can't." Mabilis na sambit ko.

Appolo quickly stood up and turned to me. I glanced at him sharply before turning to the woman.

I stand beside him and looked up at him. He seem to know what to do when he bend down so he could here me out.

"Your mine." Sabi ko.

Kita ko ang gulat sa kanyang mga mata. Unti unti ay inabot ko ang kamay niya saka pinagsalikop ang mga kamay namin. Bumaba ang tinigin niya duon.

"He can't be your escort. He's mine."

Nangunot ang noo ng babae pero mukang hindi ako naintindihan dahil nanatili siyang nakatayo sa harapan namin. I sighed heavily.

"He's my boyfriend." I added with finality.

Appolo cursed softly and I felt his hand tighten on mine.

"Now, leave." I said coldly.

The woman's jaw drop as she looked at me with surprise.

"I-I-I-I didn't know." She stuttered and now I could see the fear in her eyes.
