Deserve

Pagkatapos ng ilang buwan pagkapanganak ko kay Amara ay nagpatuloy ako sa pag-aaral sa Spain through online, lalo pa't hindi ko maiwanan si Amara sa bahay lang.

I realized parenting isn't always easy, which is why we occasionally needs support. I'm happy I'll be able to establish a good relationship with my mother's family. I fell like I'm not alone. They are there to assist me in taking care of Amara while I'm busy studying.

"Leave Amara to us. We can take care of her." Donny said while trying to lift my baby from her crib.

"Son, you should hold Amara's head and neck when you carry her." Saway ni mommy ng makita ang maling pagbuhat ni Donny.

"Oh, sorry." Ani ni Donny at sinunod ang utos ni mommy.

"Ang cute cute mo talaga!" Nangigigil na sabi ni Ysa saka pabirong pinisil ng konti ang braso nito ng lumapit.

"Thank you, guys, and sorry to bother." Sambit ko habang inaayos ang aking laptop.

"Oh, come on. We love taking care of my granddaughter." Ani ni Mommy habang tinitingnan ang anak kong hinihigpitan ang hawak sa daliri ni Ysa.

"Yeah, we like playing with her." Si Donny naman ngayon saka sinubukan kilitiin ang anak ko sa leeg at tiyan.

"Son, she's only 5 months old, don't play rough with her. Masyado niyong pinangigigilan si Amara!" Si Mommy ulit.

Ngumiti ako sa kanila.

I am also grateful to my mum for her approach to parenting advice. Even if I disagree on some things, I believe that her experience as a mother are truly helpful. But then, she doesn't always wants me to take her advice but she also supported me to figure things out.

It's all new and overwhelming for me since it's my first time. I was filled with both joy and worry but because of their support, I had been able to manage.

"Wow. You change...a lot." Si Kuya Tyro ng pasadahan ako ng tingin sa pangalawang bisita nila sa Spain.

After Amore was born. I exercise a lot and it made me more fit. Which is why when my relatives visited me again to see my daughter, they were surprised to see how much my body grew and changed. I'm not too slender anymore. I gained weight and form curves.

"And you look great than before." Dagdag niya pa.

Ngumisi ako.

"You can apply for a modeling agency. With that body and look, there's no doubt you'll pass without an effort." Flor commented as she look over my body as well.

Umiling ako at natawa sa kanila. "I'm not up for that. You know my passion, Flor."

"Where's my niece by the way?" Si Kuya Tyro na naghahanap agad sa likod ko.

Nagsimula silang mag-ingay duon sa sobrang excited na makita ang anak ko.

"Kaya nga! I want to see her!" Si Flor naman ngayon.

Ngumisi ako. "She's still sleeping."

Kasabay din nuon ay ang pag-alingawngaw ng pag-iyak ng anak ko sa aking kwarto sa taas. Mukhang nabulabog sa ingay nila.

Namilog ang mga mata ni Flor. Tumingala naman si Sol sa pangalawang palapag kung nasaan ang kwarto ko.

"She's awake." Kuya Tyro pointed out.

Napailing ako at agad dumeretso sa kwarto ko sa itaas. Ngumiti ako ng makita ang anak kong patuloy na umiiyak duon. Agad akong lumapit sa crib upang buhatin siya saka sinayaw ng konti.
