"Your going?" Tanong sa akin ni Flor pagdating ng weekends.

"I don't know." Nagkibit balikat ako.

Sa totoo lang ay hindi ko alam kung pupunta ako. I'll probably see his mother if I attend his mother's birthday.

I can hear the gossip of the people around us but I find it hard to understand their words specially since I'm too preoccupied by her mother's presence, now that she's coming near us both.

"Mom." I heard Appolo call her mom.

Mabilis akong nag-angat ng tingin para sana nginitian ang kanyang mommy kaya lang hindi ko iyon naituloy ng marinig ang tuno ng kanyang Ina.

"Son, your late." Mariing ani, ngunit hindi nakatakas ang bahagyang pag-aalala sa kanyang tuno.

"Mom, I want to formally introduced to you Anastasia. My girlfriend." Pakilala agad ni Appolo hindi inalintana ang tuno ng kanyang Ina.

Halos sabay kaming mapasinghap ng mommy niya. Lalo pa ng may mapansin akong mga ulo na bumaling sa amin at mukhang narinig si Appolo!

I'm aware that his mother hated me for finding out how Appolo treats me with such deference. Noon hindi ko iyon maintindihan ngunit ngayon ay naunawaan ko ang ibig nitong sabihin.

It's his mother's birthday but instead of greeting her or apologizing for being late, all he cares is for everyone to hear inside this room that I am all his!

Kahit noon. I vividly recall how he broke the rule to get me out of the school and away from the gossip and judgey eyes of the students and to cheer me up by skipping class. Although it's wrong, he could break the rules for all he care, just for me.

Hindi lang yan, that night at the ball, when everything came as a shock and things could get in trouble, he learned that Isabella were my half sister, but he didn't give a damn. All he care about was me and my feelings. He did not pressure me to tell him anything, all he wanted was for me to feel comfortable and safe around him.
