Hope's Love

Chapter Two: His fault

Adrian's POV

I should have done this long ago, it was my selfish desire to stay a little longer. My only reason to leave her is not to hurt her anymore. She is all I can think about right now, she must have cried a lot, if I could tell her how much I love her, if only. It gives me hope to know that my baby would be alright after this, safe from any danger that has been lingering over her all these years.
It was difficult to say no to her when she proposed to me, she looked so beautiful and innocent. I should have listened to my mother, I should have not supported this. The day, I saw her for the first time, I immediately knew she was my one and only. Her beautiful brown eyes, her beautiful black hair, and her cute button nose, she made me realize there is still pure and innocence left in this world. I fell for her, everyday, everytime, I saw her, I realized my day doesn't end if I don't get to see her.

"What are you thinking about now brother?" My best friend and elder brother, Carl asks.
I sigh and answer, " She is the only one that can help me ease my pain, but if I want her safe, I have to keep her away" He leans forward and picks up his glass of whiskey.
A smirk spreads across his face and he speaks,
"You know the day I saw you smiling looking at her picture, I knew you were in trouble. I do think that only Hope can make you happy"

"I know, man, but if she knows the truth of what I have done then she would never forgive me. Shewoulf hate me more than anyone in this
world." I speak the truth as I know that for my baby, her family and friends are everything.

"Hmm, dad called this afternoon asking if you were going to go meet them. So, call him when you go back home" he says as he gets up and I sit there still, thinking just about her. I can't seem to be without her, she is all I can care about even more than my family now.
Hurting her was never my intention, but I did it anyway. I would do anything if she could forgive me for hurting her so much.

I wake as I could hear loud banging noise, getting up I see that it's still 3 in the morning, walking out of my room and down the stairs, I could see 'Jon' my butler talking to someone and muttering something, it takes me a while to walk there and I could see the person forcing himself in. That is Max, Hope's older brother, my role model marching towards me as he looks visibly angry.

A punch lands on my face and I fall on the ground suddenly but this was not unexpected as I know Max knows everything when it comes to
Hope. He loves and cares for her like she is her own child.

"Stand the f**k up, you sucker!" he orders and as I stumble while getting up on my feet. I don't put my hands on him as I know I have hurted
his sister. I feel another punch and him yelling, "How could you do this, you f**ker! She is in the hospital right now because of you, I can kill you right f**king now".

"Stop, bhai, please Hope would not want you to do this please" I could hear Arhaan, Hope's other older brother trying to stop Max.

I opened my mouth to ask, "What is... what is wrong with her? What hospital is she in?"

Max sighs and tries to get out of his brother's hold, and yells, "She had a heart attack, you f**ker! And you are not allowed anywhere near her, Do you get me?"

I was not able to get to breathe, my insides were churning and wanting to throw up. I could not feel my legs, I tried to walk towards the main door but fell hard on the floor.
"This can't... can not be happening, she" I could not process the words. I could hear 'Jon' trying to calm me down, as Max and Arhaan exited.

"Please call my ... brother now!" I ask him as I sit there on the floor numb, trying to process what had happened. She needs me, I should go to
her. I get up and walk towards the door and grab my coat and keys as I march towards my car.
I was thrown of the hospital before I could even look at her, I knew she would have been at Arjun Bhai's hospital.

My brother sits inside the passenger side of the car and I ask him, "Did you get to know anything? How is she?"

" She is not that fine, but stable for now. After 3 or 4 hours when you left her there, she had a sudden heart attack. Doctor's said it could possibly be broken heart syndrome and it may lead her to have a heart disorder for the rest of her life" He answers.
"What the f**k did I do? I ... I need to see her just once brother please." I say as I hit my fist on the steering wheel.

"You can't you idiot, if Mr. Elder Ramirez sees you then he will for sure kill you. Thank god he was with doctors when you came in and
only Mrs. Ramirez was there." Carl warns but I have made up my mind to go and look at her once.

He looks at me and sighs," You have made up your mind haven't you? But she is in ICU A2 so just be careful."
I explained my plan to him,"We will go to the back of the hospital and get a nurse or doctor as soon as you enter the laundry type or
closet for old storage. I have been here many times so I know my way around and then I will go to the ICU as you will keep an eye out and the signal of distress would be a cough."
He nods as he lets out a worrisome breath, I give him a small smile.

We reach the gates of the ICU ward and I search for the number 2 in A section. Thankfully, families aren't allowed inside this ward.
" Here, here Go!" Carl whisper yells.
I look through the glass walls and push open the door, as I look at my beautiful Hope, lying there unconscious. She looks so weak, so fragile.
I stand beside her and take her hand slowly in mine and lean down to kiss it.
" I love you, Hope. I am so sorry, I really am. I didn't know it would affect you so much. I had to but I promise I will make it right. I
will. It is my fault and I will make it right" I hear Carl coughing and knew it was our cue to leave.
" I promise, Hope. I will be back and beg for your forgiveness then." I kiss her on her hand and say one last time " I love you"
