Chapter Nine: Plan #2 (Part 1)

Hope's POV

I look like a perfect bride, I have this beautiful dress fitting perfectly on me, this beautiful tiara, the lacy veil which covers up my face, this classy diamond bracelet. My hair tucked in a bun perfectly, if it were any other day I would have died to marry Adrian. But I really can not do it, not after he rejected me, not after he took me away from my family, not after all he did. I looked at myself in the mirror, I was... scared, I needed to run away.

That is when I decided I will do it, I will run away from here.I ask the maid who was with me to give me some privacy, she does not listen at first but I force to give me some time as I will be a married woman in a few hours. As soon as she goes away, I look around the room to think of a way out, I see a huge balcony just near the bedroom, I look down to see no one was guarding it, and no one was there. I quickly get the heavy wedding dress off me in a swift and put myself in Adrian's pyjamas which were only thing available.

"Come on, you can do it, Hope!" After chanting this I get the bedsheet, some towels and a spare sheet and form a long rope which hits the ground after tying it to the railing of the balcony.

Slowly lowering myself, as I grip tight on to the sheets, I start to descend. I hope I don't fall, being a klutz, which I am.

Successfully, I reach the ground and run into the thick bamboo woods. I run as fast as I can but these heels are making it hard. I pause for a second and run again, I know if I stop Adrian will find me, he must be pretty known to the area/
I even doubt he already knew about me running away tonight somehow. I don't remember when and where I have run but the forest is like
never ending. I look around and see some rocks sitting near the trees, so I decide to take a rest there.

I try my best to navigate to the end of the trees but before I could do that I saw some tribal people marching towards me. What the heck? There are still people who live in forests?

I simply smile and think they would help me. But the next thing I know is a big knife on my throat. The heck? I dont move, I dont blink. Then
two men suddenly put their hands around my arms and picked me up just like that, I being a scared cat, was even able to scream for help. I try to speak as they walk somewhere, "I ... sir... please, where are you... you taking me? I just..." I shut up as a man with white tattoo on his. I know this was the last day for me, I would either be eaten or killed in this thick bamboo forest.

They take me to a place where there are houses of straws and woods, there are women and children waiting, two women comes towards me and
drag me to a small wooden post and tie me up with ropes which are nothing but tree leaves and roots.I then realise what is going to happen as a woman comes out of a house with a axe and vessel in her hand.

I am going to be a sacrifice, soon the man and children start to play some kind of instrument and the woman starts to sing as the man with the
same white tattoo comes towards me with a long knife. My heart starts to beat faster than it already is, and I realise this is the end.

I am shivering so bad, in a moment I see everything blur, my head starts to hurt, it feels heavy, feeling dizzy, I look around once more and see Adrian with a gun in his hand and fall into the darkness.
