Author's POV

"Adrian! My son, I knew it; you would be here," Kairav tried to hug Adrian, but he backed away. Adrian was on the ground, bent over his unconscious wife. A lone tear escaped as he knew what he would have to go through after this. It was for her safety, for her mother's safety, for his mother's safety. All he wanted was to save them from all of this, the torture he had to go through when he was a kid. He was 12 when his father started to train him, and he was brainwashed from a very young age. He could not say no; he could not vent out his anger or his sadness. He was pitiful and useless in his own eyes. He cradled her in his arms as he looked at her wound, putting his handkerchief on her head. He stood up with Hope in bridal style. This was all his fault, and he had to get her out of this mess.

"Just look at her, please; she is pregnant." He put her down on the infirmary bed in the building where a nurse was checking her. He took two steps back from her bed, wiping his tears, feeling guilty and helpless. All of this was supposed to be a good experience.

In about 20-30 minutes, the nurse came to him with a doctor beside her. The doctor said, "I am going to speak the truth; she is okay for now but is dehydrated and is still in the early stages of pregnancy. She has to take full bed rest until the end of pregnancy. Please take care."

After the doctor left the room, Adrian walked towards her bed. Sitting beside her on the stool, he took her hand and kissed it.

"I am so sorry, baby. I love you. I will get you out of here."

In about an hour, Hope woke up with a groan. She slowly got up with her hand on her head. Looking towards her right, she sighed, seeing her husband's sleeping figure. She knew he was worried, but this time she could not forgive him. He had loads of explaining to do, but she did not want to listen to him. This time, she was going to be strong and not let her emotions go. She was almost out; he could have killed her or worse, their baby.

Hope was not making any eye contact or talking to her husband. She was upset and disappointed. He had held himself back to talk to her, apologize to her because Heer and his mum were caught again. He did not want to ruin the plans of his father-in-law and brothers-in-law. He was up for anything that happened now, but he had promised himself and Kabir not to let anything happen to any of his girls.

That's why he had to make sure Kairav trusted him. If not, everyone would be in danger. Adrian had plans. Tonight was the night when Kabir and Hope's brother were to enter the premises. Until then, he had to keep Hope out of Kairav's radar. He was angry about her being so bold and letting them out.

"Kairav, what do you need me to do?" He asked Kairav, who was watching something on his phone.

Kairav leaned back and said, "I would like you to kill Hope, if you could do it?"

Adrian's breath hitched as his hand turned into a fist. He was about to beat the crap out of him.

"Yeah! If you do not kill Hope tonight, then there will be some very difficult decisions for you to make," Kairav warned. There was a rage that was supposed to be held in, but he could not. "I will not kill her, I love her. And you know that."

Kairav laughed and said, "Okay! Go, tonight you have to make some difficult decisions then." Adrian walked towards the man and wanted to punch him square in the face, but he held it in and asked him, "Where is Max?"

"He is down in the basement; you don't need to worry about my son," Adrian clenched his teeth and replied, "I need to; he is like my brother."

"Sure, whatever. You are a disappointment, you know that, right? I had never trusted you fully because I knew the day I saw you with that girl. You were wrapped around her finger. You are a disappointment to me, to your father, your mother, and," he laughed and continued, "to your wife too." Adrian was helpless; he indeed was a disappointment but not from today. He would get each and every loved one out of this man's clutches.
