For the past weeks, Rue's schedule practically experienced a reset. He was not allowed to come with his mother at work and he was either with Color or with Nightmare when Killer wasn't at home.
Eventually, he grew more attached to Color and Nightmare was basically his bestfriend. Killer got used to his job and he doesn't slap himself before going in to his work.
Nightmare and Killer's relationship began to advance even more under Rue and Color's nose while Color was planning the perfect way to confess his feelings to Killer.
Nightmare and Color are in good terms and they see eachother as a friend. One would take Rue to the park while the other would tutor him but you would never see them in the same house. Rue was basically teleported to a different AU if he ever wanted to have a read with Nightmare or play with Color, It really distracted him from noticing changes in his mother.
Killer started experiencing morning sickness and he secretly visits the doctor for checkups.
When Killer gets his free time, he either spends it on Rue or go out with Nightmare or with Color (Killer doesn't know that the meet up is romantic he thinks its just friendly
