Chapter 7 - The way it was written

After a while, I turned to my co-workers and all looked at me with widened eyes. I was practically red at that point, It was so embarrassing... Worst part is, they already figured me as a Slut. I crossed my arms to hide my chest and slowly walked to the staff's room, I twisted the door knob and headed inside. I rubbed my arms and thought to myself, "What was I thinking? Shit, what I did was a violation of the contract. Why did I have to be curious? Ugh..."

I grab the money from my cleavage and I count it. My eyes widened in shock, IT WAS FUCKING 10,000 GOLDEN PAPER. It was 8 or 7 times higher than my paycheck in one week... I was so shocked, I could buy all the books Rue wanted. I could also buy some groceries and finally treat myself some chocolate cake.. I stared at the money that was given to me, no one in their right minds would just flat out give their Ex 10,000 Gold!

The money was tempting me and I succumbed to the enticing desire. I quickly hide the money in my wallet and headed outside. Although I was having second thoughts, I ignored it thinking about Rue at home re-reading the old books more than a hundred times. Slowly, It cheered me up, plus It was a tip so I guess It's fine to spend.

Time passed and I worked diligently, Handing out orders and taking orders, assisting the children, sweeping the floor, feeding the animals. Yeah just the same old jobs, It was better than working in the kitchen though'. I glanced at the clock and saw It was 3:57PM, normally, my outing was at 5:00PM but this time, I wanted to leave early. I placed the broom to It's rightful place and walked towards the Cashier's station. Rox, a teenage Wolf monster and the one in charge of the cash was on her phone watching her daily K-drama. I faked a cough and she looked up, she paused what she was watching and said, "What?". "Where's Gloriana?", I ask, she points at the door behind her and I walked towards it.

I think she went back to watching K-drama and I knock on the door. "Come in..." A woman spoke, I entered and saw a strict-looking woman sitting on the desk. "So what's the problem Target?", She asks, "I want to leave early, Just cut my paycheck for today if you want to." I reply. She sighs and grabs some money from her wallet and walks towards me. She handed me my usual paycheck and I was dumbfounded, "No cuts, Target. You made Nightmare satisfied with our products and services, even though you violated some safety protocols..." I stand there awkwardly for a few seconds and left with no context.

I headed to the staff's room and grabbed my coat before leaving the cafe. I wore my coat and unsummoned my female ecto-body on my way to the bookstore and prepared my wallet. I entered the bookstore and headed straight to the books section. I read the titles and looked at the many themes.

What would Rue Like?

Dark Arrow? Highest Peak? Danger Zone? One Rose? Legend of the Dragon? Ehh... Oh my asgore, so many books..

I just picked 4 random books and headed to the cashier. I placed the books on the counter and the cashier looks at me suspiciously, It was an awkward moment between us until he said, "Are you Killer Rahafwabas, am I correct?". I was a bit surprised and replied, "Yes, I'm Killer Rahafwabas. Why are you asking?". She looks at the books I brought and slid them in the scan before adding more books to the pile. I was hella confused, "Um..Ma'am, I don't-" I said but was cut off when she said, "It's a special occasion for you Mr. Rahafwabas, you still hold his heart.". She placed all the books in a box and hands it to me. "That will be 1464 G. The books added is already paid." I took out some of the money Nightmare gave me and gave it to the cashier. She gave me the change and I hid the money in my pocket.

I dragged the box off the counter and I put it on the floor, Damn was the box heavy. I moved the box out of the way of the line and panted. How the hell am I gonna carry this big ass box??? Wait a minute, The cashier said some weird sentence saying it was a special occasion for me..? Wait what did she mean with "You still hold his heart."?
