We Were Just Friends

Okay, so this is a request from my second questionnaire, please fill it out if you haven't, I would really appreciate it, links to both questionnaires are in my bio.

Request: Just a cute fluffy one shot of them cuddling while being "just friends" and then figuring out that they loved each other all along.

"Louis, can we cuddle?" Louis smiled at him, "Of course, you know I'll never say no to cuddles," Harry giggled softly before laying on the bed with the older. "Are you doing okay today? Usually, you don't ask for cuddles unless you're having a bad day, usually, you just climb on the bed," Harry bit his lip, "Just having a bad anxiety day," Louis moved a curl away from the taller's face, "What's on your mind?"

Harry shrugged, "I don't know, just not having a good day," Louis pulled the green-eyed man closer, "I'm sorry, love, do you maybe wanna go out for a picnic in a little bit? I can try and help you make some of the food," Louis offered. "I would like that, but first can we have a nap I'm tired," he murmured before yawning. "Of course, sleep well, Haz,"

The younger's eyes quickly fluttered shut, and after a few minutes he was fast asleep, Louis smiled as he combed his fingers through Harry's hair. He really liked the taller, he has for a long time but he hasn't said anything because he doesn't know if Harry likes him back.

3 1/2 hours later...

"Shit, Haz, we overslept," Louis said as he gently shook the taller awake, Harry sat up slowly, "Haz, we only have about two hours before the sun sets," Harry rubbed his eyes, "Alright, alright, we can make a quick pasta salad before we leave and we can even watch the stars if you want," Harry mumbled as he got off the bed before doing a stretch.

They were now at the top of a hill, the sun was starting to set as they laid the blanket on the grass. They both sat down, and Louis opened the basket that had two containers of pasta salad that Harry helped him make and a container with cookies, he handed one of the pasta containers to Harry who took it with a soft smile.  

"I think you're getting better at cooking Lou," Louis turned to him with a smile, "You really think so?" Harry nodded softly, "Yeah, you cooked the vegetable perfectly," Louis blushed with a wider smile, "Thank you," Harry smiled and leaned his head on the smaller's shoulder as they continued to eat their food.

Once they were done eating, they laid on their backs and watched the stars, looking for shapes and different constellations... 

"I see a diamond," Louis said as he pointed to the cluster of stars, Harry looked and smiled, "I see it... Lou, look I see the big dipper," he said pointing to it. Louis looked with a smile, "Look what's next to it, a heart," Harry looked at it for a moment before turning to look at the older. The blue-eyed man turned after a moment and smiled, now noticing how close they really were. 

Harry's eyes flickered down to Louis' lips for a moment before bringing his eyes back up so his green ones met blue. Louis did the same before leaning closer and cupping the taller's cheek, "You're really pretty, Harry," the green-eyed man blushed as he glanced back at Louis' lips.

"Can I kiss you, Lou?" Harry asked softly, Louis didn't respond verbally, but instead, pulled the taller closer and connected their lips. Harry's hand went to Louis' hip, pulling him closer as he licked into the older's mouth, Louis smiled against Harry's lips.

After another minute they pulled away for air, "I really like you, Haz," Harry smiled, "I really like you too, Lou, I have for a while," Louis reconnected their lips as he straddled the taller. "I'm so happy that I finally got to tell you, it feels so good to get that off of my chest," Louis confessed.

Harry brushed his thumb along the older's cheek as he smiled, "Louis, will you be my boyfriend," Louis smiled "Of course, I'll be your boyfriend, Haz," Harry pulled him closer by the back of his neck and connected their lips.

They were now back home, they were sitting on the couch with a movie playing in the background. "I'm glad I met you back in high school, you've helped me with my anxiety a lot, thank you," Louis connected their lips, "I'm glad I met you too, Haz, and I will always be here to help you,"

Harry smiled and kissed Louis with as much passion as he could, "Haz can I tell you something else, I really want to get it off of my chest," Harry nodded with a smile. "I love you like I'm deeply in love with you," Harry's smile widened as tears formed in his eyes, "I love you too, so much,"

Louis kissed him again, "I've been wanting to tell you that for so long and I'm so happy that you feel the same way," Harry pulled him closer and reconnected their lips. 

"I love you, Harry," 

"I love you, Louis,"
