"WE RIDE IT 'TIL THE WHEELS ARE FLAT"

___

Jennifer's POV:

I had finally finished getting ready and was extremely stressed. If I didn't win tonight, I'd owe this asshole $600.

I took a deep breath before admiring myself in the mirror. I'd opted for a white tank top that showed off my pink lucky bra, a mini skirt and high heels.

You might ask: high heels? To race? Yes, I used to do all my races in high heels, so I don't see why not now.

I grabbed my bag and ran down the stairs, seeing that I was late as usual.

Oliver waiting impatiently for me downstairs, as he absolutely wanted to come, so I agreed, and having my own bodyguard suited me just fine.

John was already there so we agreed that we would meet at the race.

"Are you done getting ready for your little boyfriend?" snapped Oliver.

I gave him a middle finger before opening the front door to leave.

"No offense, Jenn. But according to John there's so much tension between you two, it's like you're sleeping together," my little brother said as I was about to open my car door.

I frowned.

Me? Sleeping with a hot guy I hate? Absolutely.

We finally arrived at the race venue. Oliver and I looked for James and Chloe, who should already be there.

Suddenly I saw Bill talking to two girls who were very interested in him.

"Bill!" I shouted so that he would hear me.

He turned to me and as soon as he saw me, he smiled. He said goodbye to the two girls as Oliver and I approached him.

"Jennifer! I was afraid you were going to give up," he said, giving me a hug.

"Me? Give up? Never." I replied.

Bill then turned to my brother.

"This is my little brother, Oliver," I said, tapping my brother on the shoulder.

"Pleased to meet you," said Bill, shaking Oliver's hand.

"Oliver, Bill is the twin brother of the dickhead I'm going to race with tonight," I say to my little brother.

Oliver frowned in incomprehension, which made us all burst out laughing. The situation was not convenient, I admit, but Bill was very different from his hot asshole of a brother.

We chatted like this for maybe ten minutes before James and Chloe finally arrived. As soon as they saw me and Bill, they had the same expression as Oliver when I told him that Bill was my opponent's twin: pure incomprehension.

"Come on guys, he's not going to bite you," I said as they reluctantly arrived.

They approached, wary, which I totally understood given the current situation.
