"THE BITCH GET LOOSE, SHE TRYNA WIN
I BEAT HER BY THE HOUSE, I BEAT HER IN"

__

Tom's POV:

I lit a cigarette and stood on my balcony, gazing at the horizon.

It had been a week since the accident and Jennifer had blocked my number from her phone after Bill had given me her number.

Bill had since been to see her and told me everything in detail. Jennifer didn't even want my name to be mentioned in their conversation, by the way.

Bill had said she'd gotten so close to Fred that they were together almost all the time. After all, he'd been there for her at the right time.

Georg and Chloe were also together a lot, to the point where they were practically a couple. Georg took the opportunity to tell me what Chloe had said about Jennifer.

I know she hated me and it was eating me up inside.

I don't know why I hit Fred's car. I was so blinded by jealousy, seeing her with Fred who touched her the same way I touched her.

I hate it, I hate myself.

I crushed my cigarette under my shoe before going back inside the house.

Bill was about to leave when I stopped him just as he was about to open the door.

"Where you going?" I asked, leaning against the wall beside the doorway.

He hesitated for a second before sighing. "To see Jennifer," he said, looking at the floor.

"Oh." I replied, embarrassed.

"I'm sorry Tom." he said just before turning to the door and taking the keys to Gustav's car, since his was still in the garage.

I suddenly heard bursts of laughter and a door opening. Georg and Chloe emerged from his room, glued together.

I was glad that Georg had found a nice girl who was a good match for him. Besides, she was one of Jennifer's best friends, which was perfectly fine with me.

The two lovebirds entered the living room and faced me, surprised.

I knew that Chloe hated me about the accident, which made me slightly uncomfortable when she was around.

"Are you going out?" I asked Georg.

Chloe rolled her eyes to show Georg her impatience.

"Yeah, we're getting ready for tonight," he replied, earning an elbow in the ribs from his beloved.

"What's going on tonight?" I asked.

"A race, Fred, John and Oliver." he replied, which earned him another elbow in the ribs.

A silence settled over the large living room. Georg was so red he was uncomfortable, Chloe was annoyed at having to be stuck here with me, and I was embarrassed to be here with her.
