I glance at my watch. It's 7.15 a.m. Oh no, I'll be late. I only have fifteen minutes to get to school. My little brother, Raft, who supposed to take both of us to school, still swipe the floor. Doesn't he remember there is an assembly on Monday?

"Why don't you done that yesterday? Why are you just playing games all night?" My tone is rougher than usual. Of course, I'm mad. He could have done all that yesterday, but what I saw was him playing the game or read manhwa.

"I'll wait at the parking lot," I tell him. Then I kiss my mother on the cheek before I grab my bag and wear the shoes. I open the door. Before I went downstairs, I left the door open a little.

We live in an apartment. It's kind of cheap one, but the security is quite good. It's a four-story flat, so there's no elevator. Unfortunately, my home is on the fourth floors. I keep whining when I need to climb the stairs after go back from school.

I wait in front of Raft's motorcycle. In my country, you can take a driver licence only when you're seventeen. While for motorcycle, it needs to be sixteen. My little brother only fifteen. I can take a licence for motorcycle since I'm already sixteen but I'm afraid.

I can't even ride a bike. Although people said it's easier to ride a motorcycle than ride a bike, I still don't believe it. I mean, Raft is good at riding a bike but the first two weeks he rode me to school, it scared me to death. There are so many times I thought this is the end of my life. That time, he just learned to ride a motorcycle one week before the school starts.

I glance at my watch again. It's 7.23 a.m. Just in time, Raft arrive with his key being spin around his finger. I glare at him while showing what time is now. His casual behaviour truly makes my blood boil. Ungratefully, this is not the first time and the last time.

The school only took six minutes to arrive by riding a motorcycle. We arrived in front of the gate at 7.29 a.m. I quicken my pace towards assembly hall. In my heart, I'm silently praying that I will be on time, but it quickly shattered when the national song being played.

Oh great, I'm late.

I stop and wait until the song finishes before I continue to walk. As expected, I get blocked by the prefect, and she asked me to stand on the left side of the hall. Quite far from the students who arrived on time. I bit my lip, realize that I will sit on the front since I'm the first to be late. If I knew this would happen, I will just walk slowly.

I want to hide, but there's no one behind me yet. I can only sit and when I look in front, as expected, he's here. He guards the line of boys who are coming late. The girls and boys lines are being separated. Boys will be in front and girls behind the boys. The prefect will be on duty to keep students in line, so they will be on the back. Boys behind the boys while girls is the same.

This is why I hate being late. I don't mind if he is in front of me on the class line, but the late line is the worst. Just what kind of impression he had on me now? I put my bag in my lap and let it stand to hide my face. I hope he doesn't turn around.

💗💗

"So, any progress?" My best friends, Aya take a sit next to me. The teacher doesn't come in yet.

"What progress?" I ask back.

"He doesn't reply? Or chat you? Or call you?" She asks again.
