Today is Friday. The school celebrate Eid today. After take a bath, I put on the clothes I ironed yesterday. I chose colour gray for the blouse and black for the long skirt. Then it's time to put a makeup. The students in our school can only wear a makeup in such a special day. Or else, any makeup, even lip balm with a colour will be taken when there's a spot check.
So yesterday, I tried many makeup style to look the best. After all, it's my first time looking beautiful in school. Moreover, there's also my crush. After so many trial and error, I decided. Simple is the best. No need to wear eyeliner or dark eye shadow. Just put on foundation, compact powder, light peach eye shadow, a light blusher, little bit of mascara and pink lipstick.
I look perfect.
I wear one of my mother collection of perfumes. All her perfumes must be original. Channel, Burberry, Victoria's Secret, Guess and many more that I couldn't remember. I picked Guess. Then I go to see Raft in his room.
This little brat. He tricked me yesterday saying that he won't come to school today. He told me to go to school by myself. I almost fell for his trick by not ironing my blouse. Turns out, he already paid ten bucks for the food the teacher will buy for Eid. After found out, I gave him a good taste of my kick.
"Are you done?" I ask when I see him play with his phone.
"Relax. We can go a little bit late than usual," he replies so casually.
"It's almost 8 a.m. Let's go!" I urge him. He sigh and grab his bag along with a key. I put on my socks and wear a pair of black shoes.
All the way to the class, I chat with Raft. I just followed him and didn't notice I climb up the stairs for boys only. Our stairs are separate by boys and girls. The boys' on the right end of the building while the girls' on the left end. While the teacher use the lift. Well, that's not what I'm concerned.
Using this stair means I'll pass by the Ryder's class. I'm not ready for him to see me yet and I'm certainly not ready to see him yet. So, when I pass by his class, I lower my head and walk quickly. When I arrive in my class, all eyes on me. I sit down on my seat quietly.
"Wow, you look beautiful," Jane compliments me.
"Thanks. You too." I look at her up and down. She wear a matching colour with Mika. It's white cream colour. I look at the back and see Aya wear Kebaya in black colour. It makes her look tall. Then I look at her feets and turns out that she actually wears a high heels.
"Aya." I go to her and hug her. Just a custom when you celebrate Eid.
"Do I look fine?" She asks. I look at her smoky eye shadow, a darker colour of blush and a darker shade of pink lipstick. At least her eye liner is fine.
"To be honest, your makeup didn't suit you at all. You have a cute face but wear a makeup like an old lady in her fifty," I tell her. She groans.
"I don't like the colour of bright shade."
"But if you wear it, you will look cute." She seems to not listen to what I said. Then she looks at my outfit.
"Hey, your colour is matching with Izzy," she says. My eyes went wide.
"Seriously?"
"Yes. The exact same of gray. If you want to know, Ryder wear a soft blue colour."
I groan at her statement. I have a soft blue colour in my closet! But I never considered to wear it for today. I guess this is how reality works. A scene where you and your crush wear a matching colour while the others around you clap their hands saying you two look like a couple will only happened in a novel.
"I don't want to know anymore. Let's walk around first. There's no teacher anyway," I ask her to stroll around with me first since it's not started yet.
She agrees with me. Just when we went out of class, we bump into Izzy. He wore the same gray colour with mine. I ask him to come along with us. We go to my brother's class. I want to borrow his phone to take a picture with Aya. Since my phone broke one month ago. I'm not even call out to him yet when he suddenly came and handshake with Izzy. He treats him like Izzy is his brother.
"Hey, you handshake with a wrong guy. This is not your brother-in-law. Your brother-in-law is someone else," Aya says. I feel like to put on a glue on her lip instead of lipstick.
"Whatever. Lend me your phone," I ask my brother. He doesn't want to give me. I started to make a cute face.
"Please! Please! Please! I'm begging you!" I hold out both of my hands while making a puppy eyes.
He gave me the phone and I took a few pictures with Aya. Before I gave back his phone, I ask him to take off his mask. Let me tell you, he never take off his mask in class even once. He never had a lunch in canteen and only a few of his male friends have seen his face.
As for his female friends, even those in the same class never saw his face. They even came to me to ask about his picture without a mask. They also ask me, "Did he wear a mask when he took a shower?" I laughed at the question.
I reach for his mask so I could take it off but he quick to dodge. I try to threaten him by using his phone. Saying that I will not give it back if he doesn't take it off but his friends helped him by taking the phone back from me. I could only admit defeat while his girl classmates show disappointment.
After all the drama and laughter, I drag Aya to go back to class. Izzy separate with us to go back to his own class. We arrive right on time when our homeroom teacher came.
"Arrange the table. We're going to put the food you brought." Although we have already paid for the food, but if we want to bring food from home, it's welcomed. I don't bring any though. I've experienced the food wasted when I'm in middle school.
We arrange the table as told and put many kind of dishes and drink. Aya brought fried noodles that she cooked herself. There are cookies, cakes, noodles, rice, chicken and many things. Someone brought a cocktail drink. It's one of my favourite drink.
I take one cup of cocktail that's been served beside the container. I sit beside Jane and chat with her. We try out some desserts first. I like the puffs cream our teacher bought. The whipped cream is so fresh and cool. Jane get up to get more cocktail and Aya sit down at her place.
I ask her to try the cream puffs. Then Jane came back and shooh her to sit somewhere else. I hold my cup to drink when Aya suddenly sit on my lap. I want to remind her that I'm still drinking when the drink got splash on my face. Despite the cold water splash on me, my heart flares.
"Aya!!"
I push her and get up. I ignored Aya's apology as I made my way to the toilet. On the way, she manage to stop me by grabbing my arm but I push her again. The same case happen while in the toilet. After I wash my clothes a little, I left her in the toilet. I didn't feel anyone going after me. Looks like she stop chasing me.
