Emily's POV
I woke to the sound of stomps and claps. I quickly answered before my parents heard the song. "Hello?" I hissed into the phone. Who would call at this hour? I checked the clock. It was 1 A.M!
"Is that any way to talk to a friend?" a familliar voice asked.
"Louis?" I asked. "What do you want?"
He laughed. "We can't sleep! We want you to come down because we're bored. Ok, Niall wanted you to come down."
"No I didn't!" I heard Niall's muffled voice in the background.
I giggled. "Fine. Whatever. But if all of the rumors I've heard are true, Harry had better be wearing clothes!" I hung up and checked my appearance in the mirror. I threw my hair up in a messy bun and went downstairs.
"Hi!" Louis yelled. I imediately shushed him.
"Nice shirt." Niall nodded his approval. I loked down and smiled. My aunt had given it to me. On the front it said 'Craic Addict' and on the back it had the dictionary definition. 'Craic' is Irish/Gaelic for 'a good or enjoyable time spent with friends'.
"Thanks." I felt a blush climb up my cheeks. Why was I blushing? I sat down. "What do you guys want to do?" I asked, not looking at Harry. After overhearing his confession, things were awkward, because I didn't like him the same way.
"Well, since you can go online and find out anything about us, we thought we'd like to learn more about you." Liam explained.
I blushed more. "Well, my name is Emily Thompson, I'm 17 years old, my favorite color is aqua, I'm a musician, I love to listen to comedians, I think parodies of songs are hilarious so I like to listen to Weird Al, my favorite tv show is the Simpsons and I have every available season on dvd as well as the movie, my favorite bands are One Direction and Tenth Avenue North, and the first time I laughed was while watching Maggie use a staple gun to attach Homer to the walls when my dad introduced me to the Simpsons. If you ever don't understand our conversations, we're probably quoting either Simpsons, Get Smart, I Love Lucy, or some other movie. My grandma used to babysit me all the time, so she showed me all these old tv shows."
They stared at me. "Anything else?" Niall asked sarcastically.
"Well, I have two best friends, Maddy has red hair and loves you guys, Kim isn't a huge fan but calls you Neil because she knows it annoys me, in eighth grade I won the school talent show singing Hallelujah, I've always preferred slow songs to fast, I love musicals and classic movies, and my current favorite song is They Don't Know About Us by you guys." They stared at me more. "You asked." I mumbled to the ground.
I quietly picked up the remote and pushed play on whatever movie was in the player. It turned out to be Hairspray, one of my favorite newer musicals. Louis looked at me and pouted. "A chick flick? Why can't we watch something like Paranormal Activity?"
I slapped him with a pillow. "Because it's my house and what I say goes."
He hung his head in mock sadness. "Fine." He slumped into his seat. Tracy started to sing and I sighed. I loved this movie. Not only was it funny, but it showed the trials African-Americans had to go through during the time of segregation. At least, that's how I explained it to my dad to make him let me buy it.
I looked over at the lads. Zayn and Liam were starting to nod off, Harry and Niall looked like they were trying to stay awake, and Louis was jumping on the couch. I rolled my eyes before smacking him with a pillow again. "You guys can go to sleep if you want." I said to them. Harry and Niall shot me grateful smiles before closing their eyes. Louis just pouted more. After 10 minutes, I got an idea.
