Emily's POV
My phone rang out, loud and clear, waking me up.
"Nothin's fine, I'm torn!"
The song, this version sung by none other than One Direction, brought a smile to my face.
Then I realized that I had to answer the phone. "Hi, Maddy."
"Jamming out to your ringtone again?" she asked.
"You know me so well." I sighed.
"Hey, I forgot that I have to go to Olivia's Olympics today. Can we reschedule?" she moved on.
"Hm?" Then I remembered my promise on Monday. "Oh! Shopping. Yeah, that's fine. I completely forgot that sports camp was this week." When I was younger, I had gone to sports camp every summer, but now I was too old, sadly. "Wait a minute, is John Dewitt still a counselor there?" I smirked. John Dewitt was everyone's favorite counselor, mainly because he was a Niall look-alike. Maddy's huddle group had written him a love letter her last year.
"Why else would I be going?" she countered.
I shrugged. "Touché. Have fun."
"Yup. Bye!" Maddy hung up and I sat back, thinking.
Looking around, I realized that the boys must have still been asleep because he house was so quiet. Grabbing my iPod and hatching a plan, I snuck down the hall and descended the stairs. I giggled. They were all so adorable when they slept, like little children. Keeping silent, I tiptoed to my speakers and turned the volume up to the maximum. Connecting my iPod, I pressed play.
"IT'S A GOOD MORNING!
WAKE UP TO A BRAND NEW DAY!"
My speakers screamed at them. I laughed so hard I felt my sides were going to split at their reactions, leaping up and out of bed like it was on fire. "Hey! Not nice!" Niall pouted once he was over the shock.
I turned the music down. "Sorry. I've been wanting to do that since one of my friends pulled it on me at a sleepover." I smirked at their sleepy and confused faces. "Well, I just wanted to let you know that I'm leaving in a couple hours, so you'll be on your own. Mom, Dad, and Viv are at my grandma's for a bit, but they'll be back before I am." I walked up the stairs. "Don't burn the house down!"
"No promises!" Louis called back after me.
"Wait, where are you going?" Harry asked.
I grinned and turned to face them. "I was hoping you would ask that."
"Why?" Liam wondered suspiciously.
I smirked. "Who wants to go see the Olympics?"
Zayn raised his hand. "We already sang at the Olympics."
I rolled my eyes. "I'm aware. I was talking about the Loras All-Sports Camp Olympics. To relive my childhood."
Niall shrugged. "Sure, why not. It sounds fun."
A smile took over my face. "Oh, it will be."
I ran upstairs and put on my t-shirt from my last year at camp. It was gold with a giant star and the word 'loyalty' on it in purple. Pairing it with purple denim shorts to stick with the main colors and strappy gold sandals, I threw my hair into a messy bun tied with purple and gold ribbon. I sighed happily at my reflection, thousands of happy memories flooding back.
Team building.
Strength night.
The dance.
The ceremony.
