Nainas pov--
This morning I got up at 5 as usual and started cooking breakfast for everyone. By 8 i was done. Chachi ji was up by now. She came into the kitchen " kya bana hai nashte mai" she said.
"Poha aur toast chachi ji". She nodded and left. I sighed and went to take a shower. I turned on the water and started thinking about life. I was 5 when my parents had died in a crash. I was at home so i was fine. Chacha ji adopted me. But chachaji was not okay with it. I think she thinks I minimize the opportunities for her daughter. But it's okay atleast I had a roof over my head. I think only chachaji truly loved me.
On the breakfast table. I greeted chacha ji and served him ans he smiled. " gudiya tere liye rishta aaya hai". I looked at him. But only my cousin and I were surprised. Seems like chachi ji already knew.
"Lekin papa mai isse umar mai badi hun. Pehle meri shaadihoni chaiye na" said my cousin raima.
" bete ji rishta uske liye aaya hai samay par tumhari shaadi bhi kara denge. To gudiya kya bolti ho. Dekhogi ladke ko ek bar" he asked smiling.
" jaisa aapko theek lage chacha ji". I looked like down at my plate. Chachiji was silent all this while. Raima asked "ye kon pagal hai jo isse shaadi krna chahta hai". I felt hurt but couldn't say anything.
"Chup rho raima. Mere dost sharma ji ka bada beta Abhishek hai. Mana kuch saal ka gap hai dono mai lekin vo bohat jaldi shaadi krna chahte hai uski. Unhe humesha se humari gudiya pasand thi"
He said looking at me fondly. I smiled.
" she doesn't deserve to marry that handsome man" raima said frustrated.
Chachaji's phone rang. It was sharma ji. I got up quickly feeling nervous under my aunts stare. It was clear she wasn't happy but she also wanted me out of that house. And I wouldn't deny chachi ji's request everyone. He had done so much for me after all. I had obliged to meeting him.
"Kal subah 11 baje aarhe hai ladke wale sushmita" chacha ji said to chachi who nodded.
I had heard him in the kitchen. I sighed.
At last chachi ji and raina would be happy after I leave thus house.
