Naina's pov-

Yar ye aadmi pagal hai kya. Bhagwan ji aaj bachalo please. Pehle hi din daant padegi.
" suniye to"
" shhh" he said and dragged me to the table.
" are aao aao naina bache" papaji said and i touched everyone's feet.
" mere paas betho naina" dadi said.
I sat beside her and Abhishek sat in front of me.

"Kya khaogi naina" dadi asked
" ji kuch bhi"
" are bhabhi app batao na" shweta said.
I hesitantly picked up a piece of toast and buttered it.
Just as i was about to take a bite i was reminded of chachi's words

" jitna khana hona tha hogaya hai naina uthke bartan dho"
" free ka khana nai milega"
I dropped the piece of bread on the plate.

Everyone looked at me
Maaji asked " naina bache tabiyat to theek hai na"
" han han maaji vo...vvv..vooo hath se chut gaya" i smiled
I heard abhi chuckling.
Wait, abhi? Oh god please never call him that again. Somebody will kill you.

I took a bite. I was again reminded of the abuse that i had gone through at home. Chachiji won't let me eat until i had cooked and cleaned. Raima used to laugh at me. I never let chacha ji find out. He's already doing enough for me.
I was surprised when nobody scolded me today. Maybe sabke gharme aisa nai hota.

Abhi's pov -

Everyone was eating and chatting only naina seemed silent. She seemed lost in her thoughts. The events that had taken place in my room were still playing in my head. Did she really think i wouldn't even let her read.

" naina" i called
No response.
" naina"i said again
She looked at me and smiled brightly as though she was trying to cover her feelings.

" chai ?" I asked smiling
" mai le leti hun."she said and i nodded.

Later dadi started telling us about the rasam that we had to do.

" aur beta shaam ko meri dost aur baaki ladies aaengi tumhari muh dikhai ke liye. Kuch pyara sa pehn lena" dadi said

" aap hi bata dijiye daadi. Aisi cheezo mai gadbad nai krskte na" naina said smiling. I never knew my dadi needed a naina. They got along so well.

I was in my room typically on my laptop when vivek came in.
"Hey champ" he said
I chuckled "hmmmm"
" ready for tonight " he asked
" what's tonight"
" ur first night???" he almost screamed
" oh shut up i barely know her"
" ya but still. There's no harm in giving her something to like you for" he said.
" fuck you"

Naina entered the room. And saw vivek
" oh bhaiya. Bhabhi aapko dhundh rhi thi" she said looking down
" acha naina " vivek smiled and left
" where were you" i asked
" neeche daadi ke pas. Vo bula rhi hai. "
" han aaya"
"Ye pehanke" she asked hesitantly
"Neeche mehman hain."
Now the pallu on her head made sense.
" I'll be right down"
She's pretty even with a cloth on her head. I'm going crazy. Let's nust say I've never really felt this way about any person. Oh God
