Another 200 years passed before one of the most important events of the First Age came, the Battle of the Sudden Flame.
It was a large-scale battle against Morgoth, who attacked unexpectedly at night. After the sudden tremors, a river of fire began to pour out and many elves were burned alive.
The hardest onslaught was faced by Finarfin, my grandfather's brother, whom I set out to help with my mother. I met the dragon for the second time, only this time it was an adult individual. I had more confidence in the fight, but my mother forbade me and wouldn't let me out of her sight.
Many of the Noldor died and Morgoth was victorious in battle. The life of the High king of the Noldor was extinguished, my mother lost her father.
