Apperton Castle - Warden's Abode
Colony HQ - 8:15 AM
The next day
-------------------------------------------------Abigail: "Morning kids! I won't take up much of your time, since you have to leave soon.
As you now know, the facility you went to belongs to an organization called "The Old Order", more specifically, their medical branch "The Hazardous".
Lily: "Pretty shitty name."
Abigail: "Couldn't agree more. This was the first organization to allocate large amounts of resources into discovering a cure, or rather what they considered one, and tanking the burden of mending the outbreak's aftermath.
They began developing medicine and equipment, like the BRT-Pens, pretty much as soon as the outbreak was officially announced. Eventually, their products became the core method of subsiding the effects of infection, and it didn't take long before things started stabilizing...Or so we thought.
In time, the side effects caused people to die more often than the actual virus, and when confronted about this, The Order went silent and fell away from the public eye, labeled as manipulators, liars and thieves that never cared about anyone they were claiming to help, much less fix the actual problem. The public strongly accused them of creating the virus in the first place.
As you can imagine, a company of this caliber, without anything else to lose, certainly wouldn't let something like that slide.
Everything was going to shit already, they had lost their reputation, and the brains of the operation either left the project, or simply died out.So The Order destroyed everything.
Opposing them in any way brought upon consequences far worse than death.
Simply having the knowledge of one of their facilities is enough to be on their radar.Orton: "Does The Sacred Armada have anything to do with it?"
Abigail: "Yes. They're the ruthless killers that will stop at nothing to satisfy their personal needs, which include killing you.
I've seen them do The Order's dirty work with my own two eyes."Orton: "How are we supposed to know when they're coming for us? "
Abigail: "I wish I had an answer kid. The point is, regardless of why, how or where, you were in their property. So you'll be hunted like cattle until every single one of you is dead."
There is a long pause, before she resumes her speech.
"This is a simple warning. They won't be kind enough to give you one.
There are powerful beings out there. I advise you to not drop your guard from this point on."They all nod in agreement, except for Lily, who's eyes scream in disapproval. Doubt. Anger.
"Aren't all of these things just part of an old tale anyway? Air's getting toxic, Colonies getting breached, people did this and that, blah blah blah. It can't actually have anything to do with the Old Order."Abigail: "You'd be surprised."
Lily: "How so, Abigail?" She steps forth. Smug. "They're supposed to be inactive. So how would you know, when you're stuck in this Colony without a team under your command, no trustworthy people to rely on, so much so that you had to rest on outsiders' shoulders, as well as your younger sister, to find out what actually happened to the only type of power you had in this place.Kohen: "Stop it Lilith-!" Abigail gestures him to let it happen. Lily looks him up and down. No words.
She resumes her speech.Lily: "Despite being the Warden, you have no one rooting for you in here except for Nali. No one bringing you info from the outside. No eyes. No ears.
