After four years of fighting, saying sorry to each other, going back to normal, and fighting again, we had our first child, Jasper. The business was going well, and Melissa was a housewife. Maia was married, and Thaddeus could not get over it, the break-up.

That day, August 2nd, 2004, we went to surprise Kath, who was at the time pregnant. And when Melissa, Jasper and I arrived there, there was a surprise too. I saw Agathe in a wheelchair. Her thick curly hair was all thin and almost gone, her lips were pale, and she's skinny that her bones were showing.

"Brahms-," Kath tried to stop me with her arms.

"Agathe!" I shouted as I ran to her.

My wife looked worried while looking at Agathe. And my son was looking at me, confused.

"Take a seat, Melissa, Brahms," Agathe said.

I was surprised. How does she know my wife? And how is my wife not mad at her? After all, I shouldn't be hugging Agathe like that, especially since Mel IS my wife and we have a child.

"It's nice to meet you finally..." Melissa said to Agathe while my tears were flowing down my cheeks.

"Wha- How do you two know each other?"

Agathe and Mel just looked at each other and then laughed. "I reached for her," Melissa told me. "Since we got married, you were repeatedly saying her name in your sleep and you were crying. And then when you wake up, it's like, nothing had happened. So, I decided to talk to Katharina, I know she's your ex, but I didn't know she was your first love. Kathy told me everything, and we chose to search for Agathe."

I was shocked by the words Mel spoke.

"When we found Agathe, two days ago-," Agathe cuts Katharina.

"I told them that I wanted to see you for the last time and to resolve things."

"Agathe told me that she has cancer. Stage four," Melissa said.

From that moment, I knew time isn't enough. She is going to die. I cried more into Mel's arms.

"It's okay," Mel whispered to my ears, then turned to look at me while she cradle Jasper to sleep. "Agathe and I had our arrangement. You, Katharina, Regina, Maia, and Thaddeus are going to spend the whole of August together..."

"What? No, what about you and Jas? I can't."

She pulled me outside and we talked.

"Brahms, it's Agathe's last wish so please..."

"No! You're my wife. You also should be there! If you're just doing this out of kindness, you should come with me."

"It's okay, I trust you. And I did it for you because I want you to be happy, I don't want to see you crying every single night because of the things that aren't solved yet. And I don't want you to regret it because you didn't see her, when she was there, dying."

I cried to her, not knowing what to do.

"No," I said once more.

"I insist. You can't leave Agathe like that. She was hoping for all of you! She's dying!"

"Fine," I nodded and she hugged me.

As I held her tight, I whispered to her ears that I love her. When we let go of each other, we saw Maia and her husband, and Thaddeus running down the hall. They didn't even stop until they saw Agathe. I saw Maia and Thaddeus' faces show sadness when they saw her in a wheelchair. As they tried to smile, they hugged Agathe.

"Why are you guys crying, aren't you happy that I'm here?"

"Of course we are happy."

There was silence. Then, Katharina broke it, thankfully.

"Let's eat, shall we?"
