I'm so sorry I don't even know what this is supposed to be

Aiden smiled at her, but Aru knew he was faking it. How could he be happy after what had happened?

But, for his sake, Aru buried her fear and sorrow deep inside of her. She couldn't afford to be sad, because today, she was going to spend time with him.

Aru took his arm as he led her into his car.

All their past dates, she'd enjoyed them. She'd been happy.

You should be happy it happened, not sad it's over, Aru thought. But she knew desperate sobs were going to escape her lips any second now. Aru was dreading the end of the day.

For the entirety of the car ride, the couple stayed silent. There was nothing much to say. Aru didn't trust herself. She knew the moment she opened her mouth, she would start crying.

She couldn't hold it in anymore.

But I have to, Aru told herself.

"We're here."

Aru looked up when she heard Aiden's voice. She took in his looks: The way his curly hair fell over his dark eyes, how his eyelashes slightly brushed his cheeks when he blinked, how his peach-colored lips were slightly parted as he took in a deep breath.

Aru noticed that he, too, was staring at her. Aru looked away immediately and got out of the car. She walked into the cafe, and Aiden silently walked next to her.

She missed the times when they were carefree. When they didn't have to worry about the problems that tomorrow would bring.

Aiden held the door open for her as she entered. Aru tried her best not to look at his pained face. She knew that if she did, she would start bawling.

Aru took a seat, and Aiden did too.

I still can't believe this is actually happening.

"Aru?" Aiden's soft voice disturbed her from her thoughts. Aiden leaned in and brushed a tear off her cheek. Aru hadn't even realized she was crying.

Aiden's hand lingered on her face. He stroked her cheek comfortingly. Aru couldn't hide her emotions anymore. She took Aiden's other hand and buried her face in it.

"It-It had to be you?" She wept. Aiden pulled her in a hug. He wrapped his arms around her, and Aru knew that she would miss his touch.

Aiden got up from his chair, bringing Aru up with him. She dreaded the moment that he would let go.

"It's going to be alright," He whispered.

"No..." Aru sobbed, "No, it won't."

Aiden didn't respond. He just hugged her tighter.

Aru and Aiden were now receiving some looks. Aiden's hoodie even seemed to be drenched in her tears at this point. Aiden seemed to be crying too.

Aru really didn't care at all.

If this really was their last date, Aru wanted to make some memories. She wanted to be happy with him.

If only she had more time.

Time.

Really, she didn't have any more time left.

Because Aiden Acharya had been drafted.
