CHRISTOPHER | The Intro
Sa'hora Santiago
"Mama," the two year old whined as he struggled to climb onto his mother's queen size bed. He failed to pull himself up making him whine more.
"Mama!" he shouted again making her finally remove the covers from over her. She opened her eyes to be met with the big brown eyes of her baby who escaped from his crib once again.
"Kenzo, how did you get out of your room?" she groaned stretching. He ignored her and lifted his arms up. She sighed and pulled him up onto the bed, he immediately cuddled into his mother making her heart flutter.
Sa'hora smiled and cuddled him closely. "Good morning my sweet boy," she cooed giving him kisses all over his face. He giggled laughing and began to squirm as she smothered him in kisses.
She finally let him go and sat up stretching letting out a yawn. The television played softly in the back ground as she grabbed her phone and read the time of 6:21 am. It was Monday but also the day she would have to face the father of her child whom she had not seen since the day she was rescued from his house.
She sighed standing up from the bed and held her arms out making Kenzo climb to her. He was super clingy. She assumed it was because of his age and he would break out of it but he shown no signs of letting up.
"K, today you will be staying with grandma, you wanna see grandma?" she said softly as she carried him out of her room.
"No!" he whined, laying his head on her shoulders. She sighed walking into the kitchen. She attempted to put him down into his high chair but he refused, clinging on to her more.
"Baby, you have to sit down so you can eat breakfast, you want to eat?" she said softly.
"Eat?" he repeated making her smile.
"Yes papa, eat," she said. He relaxed some and finally let his mother put him down in his high chair.
Sa'hora sighed in relief walking to the refrigerator. Kenzo loved pancakes and blueberries and was very picky with what he wanted to eat. She grabbed the ingredients out and began prepping the breakfast listening to Kenzo babble to himself. She got the container of blueberries out and cut them in halves before giving a few to Kenzo.
She put on some music from her phone which he loved alot. His favorite was Jhene Aiko, as that's what his mother seemed to play alot, so he just grew accustomed to it and liked it as well. She also had a baby music EP she released which Sa'hora played alot as it soothed him when he had his moments.
She poured the batter into the skillet and listened as Kenzo hummed along making her smile. She watched him as he chewed on the cut up blueberries she gave him. He was a spitting image of his father and looking at him everyday made her heart heavy and also reminded her of what today was.
