"We want to keep him until the end of the week but with the progress he is making, he will probably be out of here in no time," the doctor spoke. Marisol nodded taking in his words and turned her attention back to Kenzo who was staring at her with his big brown eyes.

"Thank you," she said.

The doctor told her a few more things about his condition before exiting the room. She sighed and grabbed Kenzo's hand rubbing it.

Kenzo had woken up two weeks ago, the day after his mother left. Although he was out of his coma, neither of his parents had stopped by to see him. Marisol would be worried however, Sa'hora had left her a long voicemail about her needing a break from everything.

Marisol tried to be understanding but she was pissed with her daughter. Sa'hora told her she would be gone two weeks and it had been just that. However, she had not heard from her since the voicemail she left.

Kenzo still had a tube in his neck but the doctor planned to have it removed within the next day or so. Kenzo wasn't able to speak and had been quiet since he had woken up. It was clear he was shaken up and traumatized from everything that happened. Waking up to not see his mom also wasn't helping.

In his little brain, his mother abandoned him. She left him with some stranger where he watched them be killed and was nearly killed himself. He was traumatized and no one knew how much this would affect the two year old.

Marisol sighed again as Kenzo stared at nothing in particular. He had been doing so since he woke up. She didn't know what to say or do. She was happy her grandson was alive but it just seemed to be one thing after the other. She didn't know what she would do if something else happened.

Marisol looked up as Jah'mell entered the hospital room. He smiled seeing Marisol and then looked at Kenzo who looked at him with terror in his eyes. He wanted to cry but couldn't because the tube in his neck. His heart race picked up causing the nurse to rush in.

"Hey, hey it's okay Ken, it's just Jah. Remember Jah?" Mari spoke trying to soothe him.

"Oh, man I'm sorry, I didn't mean no harm," he spoke watching him freak out.

"I'll step out there, please wait outside Jah," she said and he nodded walking out the room.

Once he was out of the room, the nurse gave Kenzo medicine to calm him and also made him sleepy. Twenty minutes later, he fell asleep and the nurse left the room. Marisol stood up and walked out the door quietly to see Jah'mell standing there on his phone.
