CHRISTOPHER | Day Two
Christopher Brown
Court was about to start up again and Christopher kept a blank expression on his face as he waited with Michael to go into the court room.
"Hey, try not to worry, today is going to be good for you trust," Michael encouraged seeming hopeful.
"What you got up your sleeve?"
"Just sit back and relax. My job is to help you walk free and that is what I am going to do," Michael said rubbing his back.
Christopher lifted a brow but said nothing. He was ready for this all to be over with and weather anyone knew it or not, he was getting out of jail if he went and he was going to have his son and girl back. He wasn't worried at all.
"You will be going on the stand today but we have a few others testifying before you,"
"There's more witnesses?"
"Eh something like that," his lawyer said clearing his throat.
"Bro, what you mean by that?" Christopher said perking up. He didn't know who he was talking about and his mind was racing with different people it could possibly be.
"Man, chill out and relax, I got this," Michael said one more time before officers approached ready to escort them into the courtroom.
Christopher wasn't pleased with his answer but couldn't continue to question it right now. He guess he would have to wait and see.
Court was back in session. Sa'hora sat beside Kasmira with her legs crossed and arms folded. Kenzo was with her mother today and although he did have his moment, it was not nearly as bad as yesterday and she was able to leave.
"The defense would like to call Dr. Sean Brady to the stand," Michael spoke as the doctor who treated Christopher's gunshot wound stepped onto the stand.
Michael walked over to the television monitor bringing up the X-Rays of Christophers skull and his brain that had swell due to the impact.
"Doctor, in your professional opinion, do you believe that mental illness can be improved after a traumatic brain injury?"
"Well yes, they can improve or it can become worse,"
"So given Christopher's alleged history of mental illness, do you think that after suffering a gunshot wound to the head, his mental health could have improved?" Michael questioned rubbing his chin.
"There is a possibility,"
"Thank you," Michael spoke before returning back to his seat.
Bianca stood up and made her way to the stand to question the doctor.
"Doctor, do you believe that Christopher was mentally ill prior to his injury?"
