CHRISTOPHER | Expecting
Two weeks later...
Christopher Brown
"I know you don't want to but you got to try boy,"
Kenzo whined turning his head from his father. They were trying to reintroduce him back to solid food but he was too scared. Chris sighed and sat the spoon with brown rice back down on the plate.
"You can't just eat applesauce forever, It's okay you can eat it now," he tried to encourage but Kenzo shook his head.
Christopher smirked and turned towards the hall expecting to see Sa'hora but she still hadn't came back.
"Baby you okay?" he shouted from the kitchen. Sa'hora had been in the bathroom a very long time.
Meanwhile inside the bathroom, Sa'hora kneeled over the toilet emptying the contents from the breakfast she just had. This has been a reoccurring thing all week along with extreme fatigue and tender breast for her.
She flushed and leaned back against the tub as tears ran down her cheeks.
Chris frowned not hearing a response and stood up. He picked Kenzo up from his highchair and placed him
down on the carpet; he immediately ran across the living room to his toy box. Chris walked down the hall and knocked on the bathroom door. After not getting a response, he twisted the door knob which was unlocked and walked in."What's wrong?"
Concern filled his voice as he watched her cover her face. She said nothing and wept in to her hands. He kneeled down in front of her and gently pulled her hands from her face.
"I'm pregnant," she sobbed.
Chris' heart thumped at that confession. He slowly moved to where he was now on the ground beside her leaning against the tub. He wrapped an arm around her and pulled her to him as she continued to cry.
He felt excited at the thought of having another baby. This time they could do everything right. Have a gender reveal, a baby shower and he would be here for the baby's first two years of life that he had missed with Kenzo. He fought back a smile as Sa'hora wept. She clearly didn't feel the same way.
He thought she was upset about it because everything that was going on.
"It's okay, we'll figure it out, don't cry ma," he tried to soothe her but she shook her head.
