When the meeting ended I headed straight for my chambers, I shut the door closed but just stood there with my head against the door. I can't believe I'm going to marry the king, I'll be queen. I made my way over to my bed and sat there.
"No, No, No," I said through shaky breathes, tears started rolling down my face but my thoughts were cut short when I heard a knock on the door, I quickly wiped away the tears, "Yes?" I asked and a guard opened the door "Lady Dealora, the Lady Alicent Hightower is here to see you" he said, why would Alicent want to see me?
I nodded my head to indicate to let her in, he opened the door wider allowing Alicent to enter. He shut the door and she stood there awkwardly picking her nails. She looked up at me "Congratulations Dealora" she said this surprised me, I knew Alicent never liked me and I never liked her and I knew there was more to this 'Congratulations', "Umm thank you Alicent" I said.
She came and sat next to me, she was acting very odd "There's more" of cause there's more " More, what do you mean more?" I said giving her a confusing look "I know your father made you do it" "Do what, Alicent?" "He makes you comfort the King in order for the King to marry you, I know that because mine own father made me comfort the king" she and took my hand in hers, for the first time in a while I don't Alicent that much.
She held my hand with both her hands "I know you don't like me and don't blame you but i want to make you hate me less if you'll let me" and then I realized "Rhaenyra confronted you too" I said and she nodded her head "Would you like too fly with me?" after that she looked scared to death "I'd rather not, I'm not so great with heights" she gave a small smile but I didn't want to take no for an answer.
I took hold of the hand she was using to comfort me with and rushed out of the room running down the hallway, from behind me I could hear her protesting for me to either "STOP!" or "Slow down Del!" but I continued running. When we came to a stop outside we both were out of breath. We entered one of the wheel houses outside and made our way to the dragon pit.
Throughout the whole ride Alicent and I shared some things to each other, her favorite colour is actually green, she loves history, hates ale, but now and then she would want me to turn the wheel house around but I refused. When we arrived at the dragon pit I had to drag Alicent out, one of the dragon keepers approached me, he was very young and quite cute, "Lady Dealora should I bring out Vyrax?" "Yes please" I said holding tightly on Alicent's hand.
Not long after he and a older man brought out Vyrax, my beautiful blue dragon "She is quite bigger than Syrax so will be able to saddle two" I told her and moved towards Vyrax. I missed my dragon mostly the flying part but I still missed Vyrax, I brought Alicent's hand up to sroke her scaly neck, I quickly turned to one of the dragon keepers "Could you add another saddle?" I asked in high velaryian, he turned and got a second saddle and attached it Vyrax's back. I stoked her neck and made my way to her face and held her head against my "Vyrax, I missed you, lets fly" I said and took Alicent to Vyrax's wing to climb onto the saddle and i followed shortly after "Sovetes"
We flew off into the sky, the sound of Alicent screaming behind me and the screeching of Vyrax came to ear "Alicent, I need you to calm down" I said but she didn't listen, I turned to see her eyes were closed "Alicent, open you eyes" she slowing opened her eyes and stopped screaming, she looked around her "It's beautiful isn't it?" I asked and she shook her head.
We flew for hours talking about everything and everyone, we laughed and now and then I would scream a "Dracarys" into the sky but now we were talking about the King "You'll be queen soon and will sire a boy soon enough" Alicent said "I know but it won't be bad will it?" i said, not wanting to continue this conversation I looked around it started getting very dark "We should head back" I said and we flew back to the dragon pit.
As soon as we landed and dismounted Vyrax, the dragon keepers took her away but what we didn't expect was the Hand to be standing and waiting for us, well more like for Alicent. We entered the wheel house not saying another word and rode back to the castle in silence.
Well that was a day, I didn't think once in my life that I'd ever be friends with Alicent but here we are. When we got to the castle, I quickly headed for my chambers and fell on my bed, asleep.
