As I walked through the walls of the castle, the sounds of dragons screeching could be heard within the entire Red Keep. Rhaenyra and her bar... children had left.

I came to my destination and knocked on the door and slowly opened it. "Aegon" I called out and found that he, Elia and Baelor were all cuddled together.

Aegon quickly stood up straight and Elia took Baelor to his cradle, "Mother" he said and followed me a awkward smile.

I sat on the edge of his bed, "Your sister left just recently" I informed him, "Half" he muttered to himself while rolling his eyes.

I took a deep breath, "With the recent event that happened at the dinner today, I fear that more animosity has occurred between our families and when your father passes, she will try and claim what she believes is hers" I said with a bit of sadness in my voice.

Aegon noticed my distress and took both of my hands in his, "I won't let that happen, mother, I am heir. I will be King and Elia Queen" he tried reassuring me.

I have Aegon a soft smile and kissed his forehead, "I believe so. Good night sweet" I whispered to him, I proceeded to kiss both Elia and Baelor's forehead before finally exiting the room.

I stood in front of the door and released a breath, "Your grace" I heard something say, I looked up and saw one of the maidens, "Yes dear?"

"The King has requested your presence, your grace" she said shyly, "The hour is quite late" I informed he, "Yes your grace" she replied while looking down, "Very well then, we should not keep him waiting" I said and sent her away.

I entered Viserys chambers and saw a Maester tending to him. I walked closer to his bed and watched as he coughed and groans in pain.

"You may go, Maester" I told the Maester and took the cloth from his hands. Once he exited the room I sat down next to Viserys and continued doing as the Maester had, only slower.

"My wife" Viserys whispered, "Yes, Husband?" I asked as I continued to dab the sweat from his face, "You always had a far kinder touch than they did" he coughed out .

As I placed the cloth into the water beside me, Viserys erupted into a coughing fit. I took the milk of the poppy on the table and helped Viserys drink it.

"There" I muttered under my breath. "My... My children. Call for my children" he said between wheezes. "The princes and princess?" I asked confirming what he had said.

"Yes. And Daemon" he finally said, I stood up and carefully walked to the door. "Call for the Hand and my children, Ser Arryk, please" I whispered and watched him leave.

After a few minutes of hearing Viserys coughing and wheezing, Daemon, the young princes and princess rushed into the room.

"What has happened?" Aegon was the first to speak, "Is he dead yet?" I heard Aerion mutter to himself.

I walked over to Daemon and watched as Viserys tried lifting himself up but failed. "Aegon. Come here, my boy" Viserys said and Aegon walked over.

"I might not have been a great King. But I made the best decision by naming you, my heir. King Aegon the Second, Son of King Viserys" Viserys said and placed a kiss on Aegon's forehead.

Once Aegon stood up, Viserys called Helaena, whom sat where Aegon had sat. "Helaena, my daughter, I have always known you were a dreamer. You are the very best of your mother and will bring joy to this Kingdom as I know she has" he said, Helaena had tears running down her cheeks.

"Aemond and Aerion, my twin flames. Look after you mother for me, she gets a tad angry if she's in council meetings" I smiled as Viserys jested. This was his goodbye, he was leaving them and he was saying goodbye.

"Daeron..." Viserys started, "Daeron jumped forward tightly hugging his father, "Don't do father, don't leave us" Daeron said between sobs, "I will never leave you, never."

"Daemon" Viserys said,"No brother, do not say goodbye to me, you are the blood of the dragon, are you a dragon, dragons don't say goodbye" Daemon said and looked away, his face held no expression.

I knew I was the last he was going to say goodbye t, I stepped forward and slowly sat on the bed. "Daelora. You were a wonderful wife but a better queen."

I felt a lone tear drop onto my cheek and quickly wiped it away and drew in a shaky breath. I leaned forward and tightly hugged Viserys.

"Marry him, marry Daemon. The man you love" Viserys whispered to me and I hugged him tighter then I heard him sigh.

Silence. I couldn't hear him breathing, I quickly loosened my grip, "Viserys, Viserys wake up. Please wake up. Don't do this" I said, tearing streaming down my face.

The King was dead.

I held back the rest of my tears and stood up, I inhaled then exhaled, wrapping my head around it all.

"All of you, go to bed. Except you, Aegon" I said and they quickly left the room leaving Daemon, Aegon and I with a dead King.

"Daemon, wake my mother and Vaemond and call council meeting" I told Daemon who then left the room.
