It's been a few weeks since King Viserys had announced that him and I will wed and things are going very well. Alicent and I have become wonderful friends, I had her been made my Lady in Waiting, I've tried to talk to Rhaenyra but she just ignores my presence entirely.
My visits with the King hasn't stopped, he enjoys every moment with me and so have I, he goes out for walks with me, we speak about the histories, he explains his miniature kingdom, and I read to him every night.
My mother hasn't been very pleased with this wedding, and when Viserys announced the wedding she and I had a somewhat argument.
I was sitting in my chambers sitting near the wire stoking my direwolf, when my guard opened the door peeking his head "Lady Dealora, your mother Princess Rhaenys is here" he said, I nodded my head and he opened the door wider. My mother stood tall in her riding clothes, I stood up leaving Snowflake on the couch
"Mother, how lovely it is to see you, did Leana and Leanor came as well"
I asked and looked around looking if my siblings came joined her "No, the children are at Driftmark, I came alone, I needed to speak to you." She said "What is it that you needed to discuss." I asked "Maybe you can start with your engagement to the King, or that you didn't tell me or anyone else".
I looked down and went to go sit on the corner of my bed.
"I'm sorry, Mother, everything was happening so fast" I lied, I didn't want her to know the actual truth of how none of this my intention."Dealora don't lie to me" she said her voice getting louder with every word she said "I'm not lying, Viserys was urged to remarry and he just so happened to choose me" I lied again lifting my head to look at my mother "Oh it's Viserys now, what happened to 'King', Dealora you are still my daughter and I need to what you are doing"
"Mother, stop yelling I said I was sorry" I said and stood up moving closer to my mother "I'm just so worried about you, you know" she said and pinched the bridge of her nose "Mother, it's ok, I'm ok" I said and hugged her tightly "I miss you mother" I said softly only she could hear "I miss you too Del"
The wedding is a week away and currently I'm with Alicent and the maids in the garden discussing flower decorations and other things "Which colour should we use for here m'lady" one of the maids asked motioning for the pathway "Use a blue flower to represent my house" I said and she nodded.
"Alicent when will the seamstress be arriving?" I asked but before she could reply I turned and noticed Rhaenyra and her sworn protector, Criston Cole, walking in the garden, I watched her closely as she walked and spoke with Criston. She stopped walking when she noticed my presence but said nothing.
I decided to make the first move and walk up and ask her for some opinions on things. I walked towards Rhaenyra, Alicent following closely behind me, when I approached her I held up two fabric pieces, red and blue. "Which one should I choose for my dress?" I asked her but she just looked at me with hatred.
"I think the blue will go perfectly but I love the red as well" I added and turned to look at Alicent "Dealora, I want to take no part in all of this" she said and looked straight ahead "Fine, ser Criston Cole, which colour should I choose, maybe man's opinion will help" I smiled and held up the two colors.
"I think the red will look beautiful my lady" he said and I nodded "See Rhaenyra even man's opinion can be more important than yours" I said and walked away from her "The seamstress has arrived, Del" Alicent said motioning towards the castle "Wonderful" I sad and walked off.
The seamstress layed out four dresses, a red and white one, a blue one, and white one, a green one. I loved the white one the most but I had to choose one that will match house Targaryen colours so I picked the white and red one.
After all the decorations were done for the day, one of the guards had come saying that the King wants to have Dinner with me, to discuss something. When I entered in chambers I noticed Rhaenyra wasn't there.
"Ahh Dealora, how lovely is it to see you again" he said and motioned for me to sit down. I sat at the end of the table "It's always a pleasure to be in your company your grace" I said "It's Viserys, Dealora, I told to call me by my name". Later on we discussed the preparation for the wedding and all the things that follow.
