The sun was soon to rise and day would soon be. I sat in the council room, tear stained cheeks and puffy eyes, Aegon stood next to me, Daemon behind my chair and Ser Westerling my sworn protector.

Slowly council members entered the room seeing their distressed queen. It started with my mother and Vaemond then the Grandmaester, Lord Beesbury and Lord Tyland and finally the Lord whom's name I still never knew.

They all sat in silence, an awkward silence. "What is it that could not wait an hour?" Lord Tyland asked, "Well it should be important if I have be called here" my mother spoke up. I drew in a shaky breath trying to find the words to speak.

"My father, the King is dead" Aegon informed this council members, silence washed over the room. "We all grieve for my brother, Viserys the Peaceful" Daemon said and a tear slid down my cheek.

"My brother was a good King, he had led this Kingdom for over thirty years..."

"When my brother lost his eye, my father named me heir the day after" Aegon interrupted Daemon and slammed the written and signed parchment stating that he was heir.

Ser Westerling took the parchment and handed it to each Lord to read while Aegon and Daemon took their places next to each other.

Lord Beesbury looked fairly confused as he handed the parchment back to Ser Westerling, "There is much to be done now. Lord Lannister?" Daemon asked.

"The treasure is well in hand, it will be placed in the vault for safe keepings" Tyland informed Daemon, "Ravens will need to be sent to our allies, Riverrun, Highgarden. My wife is a Martell which, makes Dorne our ally, and I am quite certain all the men in this room are sure to bend the knee" Aegon said proudly.

"I will not have this, to believe that nearly ten years ago the King named a new heir with one witness" Lord Beesbury said and stood up, "Lord Corlys, I, the queen and Aemond were all present when he named Aegon heir, we have solid proof" Daemon told the Lord.

"That does not matter. Hundreds of lords and land knights swore fealty to the princess" Beesbury argued, "That was over twenty years ago, most of those lords are dead and as written there, the king changed his mind" the lord argued back.

"I am six and seventy years old, I have known Viserys longer than any of you here and I will not believe that he had written that, it could surely have been written for him. This is cruelty, it could be classified as treason!" Beesbury shouted

"Mind your tongue, Lymand, you will stand in the presence of the queen and the new King" the Grandmaester warned Lymand, "The King was well last night, by all accounts. Which of you can swear that he died on his own accord?"

"Who are you accusing, Lord Beesbury?" I finally spoke up, "Although it was one of you or all of you, I care not!" Lymand shouted. "The King died in my arms, Lord Beesbury, with my children and the Hand present. Sit down and shut up or I will have my kingsguard cut out your tongue for accusing me of treason" I warned.

"Storms end is of concern, we may not assume the Lord will bend the knee, although he has four daughters..." Tyland said resuming the plans.

"The Barathreons are my cousins, they will surely side with their kin?" my mother included.

"What of Rhaenyra?" I asked, looking around the table, "My sister will try and claim that she is the rightful heir and I promised you that will not happen mother" Aegon reminded me.

"You mean to imprison her?" I asked, "All that we need of her is to bend the knee, Daelora, publicly" Daemon said, "And if she doesn't?" I asked, Daemon's hand rested on the hilt of his sword and realized washed over me.

"You plan to kill her and her children?" I asked and the table fell quite then I shook my head, "The Hand is right, your grace. A living challenger invites battle and blood shed" The Grandmaester told me.

I combed my fingers threw my hair, "The King did not wish for the murder of his daughter. He loved her, I will let you deny that" I said calmly, I understood Aegon wanted her dead.

"And yet the king..." a Lord started, "One more word and I'll have you removed from this chamber and sent to the wall" I warned the Lord.

The table fell quite until Tyland spoke up, "What do you suggest, you grace?" I sighed deeply thinking for a moment, "Suggest? The King is dead and before I speak of murder and gold and kin. I would like to burn the King so he may rest in peace" I told the council members.

"As you wish, your grace" The Grandmaester said.

We stood on the top of the mountain, Viserys wrapped body laid ready to get burnt. Vyrax, Caraxes, Sunfyre, Dreamfyre, Vhagar, Marax and Tesserrion stood guarding us waiting for their commands.

The entire council members accompanied by Alicent, Criston and their children were all present to witness Viserys funeral.

"I think it's time" my mother whispered to me as she rubbed my back, I took hold of Daemon's hand whom stood next to me.

I looked around to all the children and nodded my head, "Dracarys" we yelled in unison and Viserys body lit up in flames, I leaned into Daemon for support.

Through the years I had married Viserys, I never loved him, not once. He was my friend, my brother and sometimes a father to me. But seeing him burn did not hurt.

"Your father sails for Kingslanding" my mother said but my attention stayed on the burning body.

Hours later, I still stood, Viserys burning body was nothing more but ash and bone. "Now you may rest with your Aemma" I spat at him and walked towards the Red Keep.
